Gosh darned it.. I was playing Baldur's gate this morning, figuring that I would take some time off in the afternoon to check my mail and update my page. Well, next time I check the clock, it was already 9pm. I was only checking because Renee called me, and asked if I had picked up Saturday's paper. *gulp* I had not. Whoops.. I hadn't even started making dinner yet. I had stew in mind, and since that stuff takes a while to cook, I figured that I could let it simmer while I go check my mail and stuff.
Well, Jake came back home, and I asked him what he did.
"Laser therapy."
Whoa! What the heck? What kind of problems did he have? Actually, he went to play laser quest downtown. That was his laser therapy, if you consider shooting lasers at little kids therapy of sorts. (It probably would be for MJO..)
I figured, since it was late I could use the cable modem and check from home. I talked to HNT. No dice. It was apparently down or something. Crap.
Oh yeah, I would like to tell you that it's Gina's birthday today. Wish her a belated happy birthday.
Another reason why I stayed home all day was because of my cold. Yes, I've got a summer cold. Gosh darned it. That sore throat didn't get better. It got worse, and now I've got the sniffles, coughs, and an occasional sneeze *achoo*.
Eventually I started to head to the school. Want to mention now that they finally put sidings on the new Tim Horton's at the gas station. Must have did it while I was away for the week, it looks much more presentable now..
Walking across the field, I was passing by this girl, but since it was dark, I didn't recognize her. By the time I did, she was already passing me, giving me one of those "I hope you're not gonna touch me." looks. I think it was that girl from the lab that passed by me a couple of weeks ago, I recognized the hair (and how it was done up). Yeah.. she's kinda cute. I sure wasn't. I need a haircut and at that point, I hadn't shaved for a few days, and I was wearing whatever clothes were still clean.. eww.. Not exactly the kind of presentation you want to have, but at least it was dark.
Making to the school (finally) I sat at my terminal, to realize that it wasn't responding. None of the terminals were. Gosh darned it! I came all this way just to find out that it was down.. Ah well, I guess I needed the exercise..
That and I needed to pick up the newspaper. Went by Farah's and checked.. fortunately, I don't think the Record prints a Sunday paper so I was able to pick up one of the Saturday prints off the rack. Lucky!
Eventually I went back home, to eat and play Baldur's gate. I told Jake that I was near the end and I wanted to finish it tonight (seeing as it was Sunday). He told me "Oh no, you'll be up till 2am won't you?". Bah, what did he know?
Seemed like he knew more that he was letting on. I finished the game around 1:40am. Finally! I even finished basically all of the side quests and checked out all of the maps (except for one..). Still, I'm quite happy that I'm finished, I can now focus my time on other pursuits..
