[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Today it's hot, humid, and hazy. Feels like a heat wave. It's hard to hang around outside without hair conditioning. Whoops, got carried away with the H's there. Walked to school to try to do some work this morning. Some girl was driving around lost or something since I saw her pass by me three times. I was tempted to was up to her and ask if she needed help or something since her window was down and she was at the gas station, but I figured that I shouldn't scare her and went straight to school.

Unfortunately, Theochem was still down which meant that I couldn't do any work, and I couldn't update my homepage either. This also meant that any programs and drivers that I got from the net would be difficult to port back home since I usually use my Theochem account as a go between for transferring programs from the net to my computer (makes it harder to track). Ah.. at least I got up to date copies of Winzip and Winamp.. and I had enough space to bring back Half-Life: Uplink which will be interesting seeing as I actually have space to install the game.

Unfortunately I still won't be able to move any of the movies, print shop pro, or the new A3D drivers.. but I guess I'll just have to wait huh?

Checking my disk usage, I'm already at 2.5 gigs, which is more than the size of my old hard drive, and I'm still not finished installing some programs. Wow.. I must have really been itching for more hard drive space..

This Theochem thing has been bothering me tho. It's the first time I've seen Theochem go down for so long (at least two days now), and it couldn't happen at a worse time. First of all, it went down early Saturday morning (or last Friday evening) and GBC won't be back until Monday, which meant that Theochem won't be up till then (obviously I can't e-mail anyone to complain that the computer is down, and GBC doesn't talk about computers on weekends, so no quick service.) Secondly, the Molecular Spectroscopy Symposium is next week, and I still had a whole number of runs to do.. seeing how busy the computer is on the weekdays, I was hoping to have the computer to myself to finish up some jobs. No dice. Yikes.

Of course, I could always make up some stuff.. heh heh..

Oh man, while I was playing Half-Life this afternoon (I was planning to waste my day playing that game until I got tired and went to bed). Laz and Growly dropped by!! Holy! They never told me that Laz was in town! Well, they hung around my place for a while watching me play Half-Life and Baldur's Gate. We talked mostly of games.. and during dinner (later), about other things..

Finally, we figured that we should leave around 10:30. I was getting hungry and I wanted to go out and eat (seeing as I didn't go shopping - due to the weather - and didn't have any food). Too bad we couldn't really decide where to eat. Eventually we settled for a bar and grill near Growly's place.. which wasn't too bad actually. The food was edible and the prices were reasonable.

On the way there, some girl passed by us, and she reeked of cigarette smoke. Pee yew! I think she was kinda cute, but after leaving that could of smoke, I figured that we should stay upwind from her. Growly thought that she was drunk due to her gait, but I didn't really notice.

We went to his place to check out some pictures that he had taken with a USB digital camera.. very kewl, and expensive toy. I'll need to get one when I'm rich. Didn't stick around for long. Checked to make sure that Theochem was still down and finally checked out what Laz's Flash page was like before heading back home.

Geez, one of those guys left their sunglasses at my place. What am I going to do with them?
