[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

I'm back! At least it seems that way.. let's see now..

One thing that I forgot to mention on Friday. On my way to school, there were a whole bunch of guys working on the sidewalk. I wasn't sure at first what the heck they were doing, but I saw one of them putting this glue like substance on the sidewalk, while people further down were laying down asphalt. Hey! It looked like they were actually fixing the sidewalk! Well, it took them long enough, because I had trouble blading to school because the bizarre winter we had made the sidewalk very uneven (some places had bumps about an inch high!). Well, while I was walking around these workers, I noticed that one of them was putting this white powder on top of the freshly laid pavement. Couldn't figure out why. After I passed them, I went back on to the sidewalk and continued to blade. Not much further down, I noticed that one area of the sidewalk had footprints! Ack! I managed to jump over that part, and the other ten parts of the sidewalk which also were just fixed. I guess the white powder was put on to give the asphalt a concrete like colour so it blended well with the sidewalk. Sure fooled a number of people! Fortunately, I didn't get any on my wheels (that I know of).

The trip home was fairly uneventful, despite the fact that TP had no A/C in her car! (It was a less sunny day so I didn't complain as much). I was able to pick up Bastard! from Suspect, and made it back home around 9pm. Alright, so I was only an hour late.. K-Boy, Arthur and HKL were the only ones to show up. Ah, that's alright, Bastard! isn't exactly for the weak of heart. BTW, Sarcasm was right, they did tone down the language in the commercial version. I should have got myself a fansub.

I gave MPS a beep, but didn't get a call. Gee, I guess free food doesn't attract everyone then.

Saturday. I finally went to watch Star Wars:TPM at the Scarborough Town Centre with HKL. Personal thoughts? I thought it was okay. It reminded me very much of A New Hope, as there were a number of similarities, but I'll leave my final judgment until after the entire trilogy comes out (in 2005)

HKL and I then proceeded downtown to find the elusive Quantum 10.2 Gig EX drive. I found out on Friday that they had sold out at Greytech, so I thought I'd go downtown to check out the computer stores down there. After checking out computer alley, and the dozen computer shops they had down there, I came up empty. Well, the stores that did have the drive were selling them at ridiculous prices ($300?? No thanks!). Dejected, I went with HKL to the place where he was getting a new laptop hard drive. On the way there, we passed by the south end of the University of Toronto St. George campus. As we were walking, I could've sworn that some faraway voice was calling my name.. I looked back but didn't notice anything.. then I heard it again and I looked back again for a longer moment and.. holy cow! It was.. uh.. I forgot her name, but it was D's gf.

She told us that she was supposed to meet D, were we were actually standing. How bizarre! I suggested that they could accompany us since I had a car parked at the Town Centre and I could drive them home. After waiting a few minutes (for a late D), I ran this idea past him and he didn't look very happy about that. Gee. I guess he didn't want to come with us. Ah well, that's too bad, he missed out on walking around in circles for half an hour.

I ended up being on my feet just about the entire day. Yoiks, I was hoping to do a bit of relaxing this weekend, instead I'm tiring myself out!

Funny thing, my parents went over to my Aunt's place for dinner (and MJ). I didn't go, but they called me up a couple of times to get me to come over to eat dinner. What the heck? Did they have too much food or something? I wasn't really in the mood to eat, (sleep on the other hand..) and only after agreeing to come over to drink soup - only - did I get them to stop calling. I did go over and I did only drink soup (although thy kept offering me food) and I left just after I finished. Bizarre.

On Sunday I finally got my new hard drive from Logic House. Finally. I'm just glad that they were open this weekend.

Went out to some vegetarian restaurant for dinner today. Saw a girl who looked amazingly like AMY at the next table, but it couldn't have been her. Oh, one of the dishes we ordered was this battered fish made of some sort of Chinese potato. Oh,

So it's a glorified french fry huh?

A $12 glorified french fry actually. Mind you, it was large, but after a few mouthfuls, I was ready to go onto something else. My mom told me after that she and my sister used to love to eat that dish, until I made that comment. Now they don't seem to see it in the same light anymore (that and the fact that it cost $12 for starch).

My mind was elsewhere for most of dinner tho, couldn't keep my mind off of.. uh.. something. (someone?)

Now I'm back, and I have a bit of work to do. I need to put in my new hard drive and get my old one backed up. Got to wake up early tomorrow for the lab, and I hope that it doesn't rain tomorrow since I don't want to miss two tennis lessons in a row.

Oh my! I got mail from Honeywhite! (Nearly typed Hornywhite - ha!) Wow, that was amazing. Especially since she sent it to my hotmail account on the 2nd and I didn't read it until today! (Whoops!)

I guess that's it for now. ShadowWhyspr tried to get me to res on a talker. I turned her down.
