Rain rain rain.. that's all it did this morning.. actually it rained quite a bit last night. I left my window open (since it was so hot and humid last night) so I heard the showers come and go last night and this morning. It was quite weird hearing the rain fall in "waves". Sometimes, there would be nothing, and then a huge downpour, and then another break. Got me up early this morning. Well, that and the fact that the danged birds were up at sunrise.. (a good reason to keep my window closed).
The Leafs lost last night, and Cosmo rubbed it in this morning (he was chanting "Let's Go Buffalo" for the past week) telling me that the Toronto "Make Believes" couldn't have made it. We'll see.. next year.. next year..
Puma is apparently at Lakehead spending time with her bf. She caught me on Sciborg and we talked for a bit about ShadowWhyspr. It seems as if she has gone back to her wayward spodding habits. Silly girl, I thought that we had all kicked the habit. It seems as if she wasn't joking when she wanted to make me a res. The reason being that she didn't want to feel like the only person to go back to spodding. Oi. First of all, I don't want to go back. I think T's right in avoiding it altogether after getting over the addiction. Secondly, I don't have the time. I've got work, sports, and this danged page to keep up. No time for anything else (even a girlfriend - although I keep trying to delude myself). We'll have to keep an eye on her so that she doesn't do anything too silly..
Oh.. funny thing. For the past few days I've been getting calls from this girl. I'm not usually home tho, so Jake or HNT usually answer it. Well, a couple of days ago, HNT told me that I've been getting a lot of phone calls from some girl, and he tells me
"Who is it? Is it [ShadowWhyspr]?"
Nope. Of course he doesn't believe me. Yeesh, you wanted an answer..
Oh, for those of you wondering who this person is.. it's none of your business =P. Besides, It's more interesting to make you guys wonder.
I didn't go blading with REM today. She was tired, and it was also wet. Not a good combination when you go out to blade. We took a rain check tho, and we'll see if next week will be any better. (I'm still trying to convince her to let me drive her car..)
Lunch. I wanted to get a couple of Jamaican patties, but they were out so I bought one of those western omelet, with bacon and cheese sandwiches. Very good, first time I had one and I must recommend it. At 2.50 it's not that bad a price for the amount of bacon that they put on it. One of the C&D girls was cleaning the fridges, moving things around when I got there. The thing about wearing short shirts is that it reveals quite a bit of skin when you stretch, and boy was she stretching. Good thing that she was cute (and nicely fills out her shirt). Sorta looks like one of the students that I TAed.. I forgot her name (or maybe I just don't want to say it?). She doesn't look as chipmunkish but too bad her voice is somewhat grating..
I talked with Dr. Fisher and he agreed to let me back up my hard drive with his CD Burners.. I don't have the money ATM to get myself a burner, and since I wanted to back up my hard drive before installing the new Quantum, I figure this was a good time as any. after figuring out how busy I was in the week, and how busy he was on the weekend, we agreed to do it tonight.
I finally made it to my tennis lesson. It seemed as if the weather actually did hold up and let us play unmolested. I think we had a full class today, but one of the instructors wasn't able to make it. that was unfortunate, the guy who did show up had trouble handling all eight of us. It was all right tho, I didn't learn anything too profound, except that it's probably advisable not to play tennis on a hot humid day in jeans. Gets uncomfortable after a while..
Squash was tiring as usual. The other girl taking the course actually showed up today, and we got some pointers for our backhand. She seems to have improved quite a bit since last time, since she really got me running around the court a bit. She even got the instructor running around too!
Bumped into Tracy on the way back home, she told me that the other team for softball didn't show up so they basically had a hitting practice instead. Whew! Makes me feel not so bad for not coming out to the game!
After yanking my hard drive out of my computer and heading of to Dr. Fisher's place, I bumped into Alan! My god, that boy has grown. Well, he's still lanky, but he's taller than me! I didn't actually recognize him at first, but he recognized me and shouted my name. Wow. We talked about this and that, I told him to tell Steve that I said "Hi!" even though he doesn't actually "know" him. Talked about MPS as well, but.. ah, not much there to talk about huh? =) He gave me his e-mail address.. all I have to remember is aky.. and the rest is trivial.
It took me a whole hour to walk from my place to Dr. Fisher's house. (He told me it only took him half an hour to get to school!) Whatever. I was quite sore and tired by the time I got there. Well, I did spend some time talking with Alan.. and I did have a cramp, okay okay, enough excuses, I was about an hour late. The burn didn't take too long. His 4X made life very easy, and it only required two partially filled CDs to back up all of the files I wanted. To pass the time, we played "You don't know Jack: The Ride". You know what? BSB is right, this IS a very fun game! (I got crushed tho). Still, Dr. Fisher drove me back to school afterward so I didn't have to strain my muscles THAT much.. whew!
That's it for now, I'm tired, I'm smelly (from all that running around), and I'm hungry. Not a good combination.. makes me crabby, and smelly to boot. Hope that I get more work done tomorrow.. I should have time..
