Well, last night, the dinner at the German restaurant (Schmitt's Sausage Haus) was really good. Even RHS (the ever skeptic) enjoyed it (and plans to go next year). Bumped into Coxon and his boys at the restaurant, but I didn't get to see them off since I was facing away from them when they left. Gosh darned it. We went to the Out or In after, but seeing as I didn't drink, and I had to drive the next day, I went to sleep after the hockey game.
Woke up late on Friday, but it didn't really matter. RHS and I finally got out to buying an Aerobee (It's RHS's now), and after a few test throws, we really want to get it out on the field! (Hopefully no one will roof it.)
Gang Li's talk went fairly well, the only interesting point was when the convener was introducing the talker, he said
".. by Edward G, Lee, and doctors [QYV], Hirao, .."
I nearly laughed out loud when he said that.
The ride back was fairly uneventful. I drove all the way, making sure that the needle was at or above 120 all the time.. made it a faster trip back home. In fact, we got back in time for me to do a bit of shopping with the van before making it to the game (and people were home too so I wasn't locked out!), although I was a few minutes late..
I missed out on the first 10 minutes of the first half of the game, and since people weren't really subbing much, I ended up playing only 10-15 minutes in the entire game. Didn't even break a sweat. We tied 1-1, but the other team got their goal while I was still putting on my equipment so it wasn't my fault!! (Yeah, that's right).
Making it back to the office, I was surprised to see a huge deluge of mail from various sources.. one being Growly who's e-mail program supposedly malfunctioned and sent me 10 copies of the same message containing his great achievement. I'll have to check it out once I get everything else cleaned up.
What surprised me is that some chick replied to Growly's e-mail and sent it off a carbon copy to everyone on the list. Who is this girl, and why am I reading about her life? Ah well, maybe I'll bump into her sometime and ask her myself. Laz seems to be the only one who escape the message, although I wonder how MJO's reacting =)
It seems like we won our last ball hockey game 22-2.. (no typo as Cosmo pointed out) man, I'm glad I missed out on the carnage.
Also found a message from REM.. who apparently didn't know that I went to Ohio for the week.. geez, I always forget some people..
I should get going.. I gotta get a postcard for T, and check up on skating.. boy oh boy.. to be back..
