[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Oi.. I thought yesterday was hot, humid and hazy?? Today, it was just as bad, if not worse. If I could've wandered off to school in something less than shorts and a tee, I would have. Unfortunately, I didn't want to scare the general public, so I had to suffer until I reached an air conditioned haven (that being the school). When I had made it to my office, I found that my door (and GBC's door) had both been opened. Seems like GBC wanted to turn on the air conditioning in both rooms to the max and pump it through the rest of the lab. I guess it worked fairly well huh?

This is funny. Found out about some CNN article from ArsTechnica. To make a long story short, I found the typo, can you?

Dusty, weirDo and I went outside to eat lunch and throw the disk around, it was probably not a good idea seeing how hot it was, I was rather surprised how quickly my feel (which were in sandals) started to feel a little burned outside despite having a partially overcast sky. This changed fairly quickly when we saw this huge dark cloud heading towards the campus, at which point the wind started to pick up, and we picked up and left. Funny enough, after making a couple of storm preparations (like closing windows and stuff), the cloud kept going and the sun broke through. Seems as if the huge storm that was supposed to hit us missed. It did hit the Metro Toronto area tho, head reports of a possible tornado down in the west end. That doesn't happen to often around here..

As five o'clock began to roll around, I heard a funny noise come from my air conditioner. A few minutes later, it started getting noticeably more humid. A few more minutes later, it started to get warm. Aw man.. I talked to GBC about this, and he told me that Plant Ops tends to turn off the cold water (used for air conditioning) at around 5. Ack. Apparently you can call them up to turn it back on, but I had a meeting to go to eventually and couldn't be bothered.

Speaking of meetings, I went off to the CTRL-A meeting and as I got to the top floor, I ran across some people I recognized who told me that the meeting was over. What the..? Continuing on, I bumped into the regulars and they told me that the meeting actually started at 5:30 (I thought it was 6). Geez Louise! Well, I don't think I missed too much it seems.

On the way back to the lab (with KNZ who wanted money), this girl in a lab coat passed by us, and I thought she had a very pretty face. Eyes followed as she went outside, then the smell of her perfume.. whew! A little strong. Eh, that you can fix. Faces are harder to fix. I wanted a better look, but I guess people wanting money is more important than people wanting sex. Ah well.

Interestingly enough, the temperature has gone down and the air conditioning has turned back on. No complaints here.

Time to eat.. I'm gonna use up some of those fries in the fridge.. have a hankering for some Poutine.. mmm.. Poutine.. That and the drivers ad stuff I have to install on my computer.. I'll return later.
