[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

It rained today. It rained for the entire day. Not only that, it was windy. More windy than Chicago. Not the best of days. At least the plants get some respite from the amazingly dry weather that we've been having for the past month. Guelph had a ban of all public watering for the past couple of weeks, and it was quite humourous to hear them repeat the ban this morning on the radio (with the rain and all). Later in the day, I think they caught on and commented on how effective their ban was. Whatever.

I'm having huge problems with Netscrape crashing on me whenever I load up my page. (This and the Journal index page) Must maybe some of the events that I'm using (Like mouseover and stuff). I'll have to figure a way for it not to crash..

I was a little late getting to school today. I still made it to the lab before weirDo. In fact, he didn't make it in until quarter to ten! (I won a bet too). That was alright, there wasn't much going on anyway. We were working in the new Frizzen lab, which was not too shabby. We've got the lab booked for the rest of the term, so we might just stick around there and not go back..

I did talk to Dr. Fisher about The Phantom Menace. I agreed with his analysis that this movie was geared much more towards the ankle biters than the teenage crowds that A New Hope was geared towards.. Then again, I might just be getting a little old..

I had lunch with REM this afternoon. She actually came by with Pepsi (or was it Coke?) to understand how to forward their e-mail. Lunch was fun, even though we had to go out into the rain. She is amazingly easy to bug, just like ShadowWhyspr. Oh yeah, she even answered one of my thoughts that I had written on my board:

How can I mourn the loss of something that I never had?

Her response was:

"I Donno!!"

Mind you, the goofy grin she drew on probably indicates that she was just making fun of my comment.

Anyhoo, despite the rain and wind that was going on outside, she told me that the tennis courts were under a bubble, so it should be possible to play there in this weather. Since I didn't go last week, I figured that I should go and check it out. It took me fifteen minutes to get there in the driving rain, and once I got there, I noticed.. hey, waitaminute! There's no bubble! Looking around a bit, I figured that I should go into the Tennis club and see what was happening. Going inside, it looked mighty empty, so I fished around until I bumped into some guy and asked him what was going on. Apparently all the classes were canceled today. Oh thanks.

I wasn't too unhappy heading back to school, bumped into Dave and his gf (man, I can't remember her name for the life of me) on the stairwell, and REM came back from her lab not too long after I made it in. She seemed genuinely surprised that the bubble was gone. Gosh darned it. I should have used that as leverage to make her let me use her car. I've never driven standard, and, heck, I've always wanted to try. I promised that I would make her dinner if I wrecked her car (I wonder if she'll bite?)

At least squash was productive. That girl who came last week didn't show up, so I got basically a one on one tutorial. It basically turned into a big long practice and halfway through, he and I had a couple of games. Even when he was using his left hand (He's left handed.. but he plays with his right hand) he still whipped my butt pretty good. I'll have to get him back next week.. heheheh..

I'm skipping out on softball tonight. I have a ball hockey game tomorrow and two broomball games. Besides, after squash, there's no way that I'll play well in this weather. Next time.

You know.. I really should have asked. It feels like.. unfinished business, but why bother thinking about what I could've had, instead of thinking of what I can have. I dwell in the past way too much, and in so doing, I'm blindsided by the future.

Remember the past, but don't forget about the future.

*Sigh*. Why do I have to be so nervous at the worse times? Gah, I should go home. I'll be back tomorrow.
