[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

I'm back! Wow, this was a more interesting weekend than I thought it was going to be. The trip back was fairly uneventful except for the traffic jam the moment we got onto the 401. It was pretty bad and we thought that it was an accident. It was, but it was on the other side, and it was only a fender bender. Okay you rubberneckers, keep your eyes on the road!! Friday night was also uneventful, I did get to talk to MPS, who's been happily single for 100 days now. I think that's the longest she's gone on without a guy for six years now.. Didn't do anything with her that weekend. Oh well.

Saturday was much more interesting. girl and I decided to make lunch for a be-earlied Mother's day. Down at Woodside Square, where we were shopping for groceries (I wanted to make chicken Caesar, while she wanted to make sushi) there was some sort of event going on in front of the store. All I could hear were these high pitched screams from the audience, but I couldn't figure out who the heck that could be on stage (it was facing away from us and it was far away). We checked it out tho, and as I scanned the audience, I noticed that the majority of the people were middle aged women. Hmm.. apparently this was some sort of soap opera star who came by the shopping mall, and all he was doing was talking about the show. Good grief. We left soon after we found out.

Another interesting thing that happened that afternoon (just before lunch) was the fact the our dad was watching the shopping channel and to our astonishment, he actually bought something for our mom! What the.. he's never done that before! (And it was a pretty expensive gift to boot!) Okay, we tried reasoning with him, but that's our dad.

Oh well. girl dragged me out to a 80's party that one of her friends was having that night. I can't believe how many songs I recognized from that era, and I only really started listening to the radio in 1985! (Boy was that a long time ago..) I only recognized a couple of people there, namely Shawn and.. uh oh.. Steve I think (Aw man, I can't believe I forgot.. he's a singer, that's all I remember).

Anyhoo, there was a girl there who I thought was kinda cute (I always find a cute girl somewhere). Well, while I was going over some of the songs that we could play, I noticed that one of the songs was John Denver's Country Road. She blurts out that she prefers the Japanese version. (Really?) So I ask her where she heard it from. She told me 'Whisper of the Heart'. Then I asked:

"Do you watch anime?"

My god, did she ever. I won't recall the events of that night, but she showed me what a REAL Otaku is. It was pretty kewl, I liked the conversations that we had and it was nice being able to share some anime jokes with people outside of CTRL-A for once (Saucer!!). Her bro and a couple of his friends have their own anime homepage, which is a fairly large anime resource for reviews and fanfics (for those not of the faint at heart). She's seen a heck of a lot more anime than I have including some ecchi stuff that I dare not touch (although she did suggest a few to me which I'll be renting at some point in time =). She also works on her own comic (with a homepage that's been recently modified - amazing!) much like Ian and his Emiko's Genesis. Well, I shouldn't say "much like" since she's so much more of a hard hitting person than Ian will ever be (which isn't a bad thing). Oh yeah, she's a part of the Ryersonuranime club, as well as AnimeExtreme. She invited me to come to the next show (which is this Friday) but I've got the CTRL-A show to worry about.

She does have other talents and interests too.. but you'll have to ask her yourself. Oh yeah, she also has a bf, so don't even try anything! Anyhoo, that's enough about her, if you ever bump into herself the elf (aka Sarcasm-hime - Hime! Hime! Hime! Hime!), tell her that I said "Hi!".

Sunday was pretty standard "visiting home" wise. Went blading a bit, but apart from that (and dinner), it was pretty uneventful.

All I have to do now is to update my links to add in the second law homepage and Sarcasm's.. oops, Sarcasm-hime's links. Won't take long, but I want to go to sleep. Mind you, I've FINALLY finished cleaning up most of the Guestbook script so the thing works now. Test it out yourself and tell me if I made any goof ups!
