After I got home last night, I thought that I had beaten the rain. Unfortunately, all I heard were huge droplets hitting the ground every few minutes or so, which meant that if it really was raining, it wasn't raining much. Ah well, I was still lucky I didn't get my blades wet.
Woke up this morning, quite early, I had left my blinds open since I wanted to keep my window open and air circulating that night (it was really hot and humid). The sun really started beating down into my room about 7am. It felt like it was 3 hours later than it was tho, and it's not even June yet!
As I was getting up, I was listening to the radio go through the standard news update. The temperature they said was 20C, and it was only 8:30. Ack. Definitely wearing shorts today. That sorta precluded the use of my blades, but after those two stumbles, I think I should ease up on riding those things for a little while.
While I was looking for JKent in the organic lab about ball hockey, I ran into R! Good grief! I thought she had left KW as well! (It seems like more people stayed in town than I expected!). Wow, I had so much fun making fun of her before, ow i can have even more fun! (seems like JKent does the same thing =) Well, I was supposed to meet her after the lab, but I had prior engagements.. (oops), and when I went out for lunch, she came back (ooops!!). *sigh* It's just my luck. Tomorrow.. there's always tomorrow..
The volleyball captain's meeting was a bit of a joke. The convener got there late, and not only that, the schedule was so badly messed up (with teams playing two games at the same time - and no division between experienced and non-experienced teams) that I suggested that the schedule be redone and we'd take a look at it later. This went over well since, heck, I don't think anyone wanted to stick around for an hour to fix the schedule.
The broomball captain's meeting went much better. It probably had to do with the fact that there were only four teams in the league. We are going to play full ice tho!! Yay!! I'm so happy. I also asked for more games in the term, and she agreed to give us an extra three games, putting us to 9 games each for the term. Boy was I happy.
Squash was also pretty fun. I guess I shouldn't have taken the beginner's course, but I only played squash once. I was killing the poor girl who was taking the lesson with me. Mind you, I was supposed to be the only student there, but she came by later and joined the class (I was really surprised that I was the only one). It went over well tho, and I don't think anyone got hurt. (Nor have I broken HaremPresident's racquet yet!)
That's it for now, I'm gonna go home and try to finish off some of that pizza we still have lying around.. *groan*
