[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Yesterday, I forgot to mention a couple of things (I tend to forget a few things every day don't I?). First of all, Dusty got pushed into the wall while he was handling the ball, and managed to get impaled onto his stick. Fortunately it was just above his.. sensitive spot and so it wasn't that bad, but he still was pretty winded after the hit. He elected to stay off the rest of the game, but I think he got over it by the end.

Also, bumped into Laurie at the rink just before the broomball game. She and Mr. Broomball were having hockey drills (I would take them if I actually had equipment) so I talked to her a bit after she got out. Will and I (okay, mostly Will) managed to convince her to stick around and play a few minutes of broomball which was kinda nice.

The jeans that I was wearing that day (and today in fact) are pretty comfortable and I like wearing them except for one thing. The pockets seem to stick out a lot. I guess it was the way they were made, but last fall, I was with Mr. Myles and one of my former students (I'm not gonna incriminate her!) and I was having trouble putting my pockets back in. As I was fiddling around with them, I commanded them to

"Stay in there!"

So she told Mr. Myles

"That's what [QYV] was saying last night."

Mmm.. I didn't have much to say about that.. (I did put her in a headlock tho).

I was also thinking about what I would do if I had a significant other. I know I would spend a considerable amount of time with her, which would, in general, preclude me from playing most of the sports and do most of the activities I'm doing now unless she was interested in them as well. (Which is quite unlikely, I haven't bumped into a girl like that yet.) I am unwilling to give up on these activities, but I would like to have someone that I can.. well.. have a relationship with. This, unfortunately would be trying to have my cake and eat it too. Quite unlikely to happen in the near future. Indeed, the one that I'm interested in has nothing in common with me (that I know of yet). It's rather depressing.

Oh yeah, for those of you who might be interested, and since someone who should be reading this asked me.. I'm gonna list a couple of celebrities that I think are very attractive so that you get a picture of what kind of girl I would take a second glance on the street. Three of them would be (in no particular order):

Hmm.. if you guys can see a trend, then more power to you!

Today was the first time this week that I went blading to school. It was a good feeling, and I felt fairly confident today. The work the did on the sidewalk really is noticeable because now I don't feel the bumps every time I go to and from school. I used to have some problems coming back since it was uphill, and I tended to be on a single blade whenever I hit those bumps. Many close calls with the ground. Now all they have to do is get rid of all of that sand in the construction area..

Speaking of which, they've put up the new structure at the gas station at the corner of Columbia and Phillip. I think it's gonna be some sort of a convenience store, but it's hard to tell. They still haven't finished the interior, nor have they really cleaned up the exterior walls yet. Well, at least it'll be more interesting than the car repair they had there before.

I talked to Laurana, and she was nice enough to send me her password (what a sweetie! =)

Speaking of passwords, Growly suggested that I set up a password to protect my journal so I wouldn't have to worry about prying eyes. (What I was telling you folks a couple of weeks ago). There are a couple of reasons why I don't want to do this. First of all, it's a pain. I'm having trouble already trying to transfer the graphical counter to my page (so I don't have to rely on the Web Counter) although I do owe them for giving me this free counter for the past three point two five years. But since I have my own Guestbook, and my own scripts, I figure I might as well keep everything localized. (Makes it easier to transport, and I don't have to rely on them all the time.)

The reason I told Growly why I didn't want to put on a password was because by putting one on, I would be giving access to only a select number of people. That would mean that I could gear my entries to suit them. I don't want to do that. I want this to be as broad and as general as possible.

The main reason why I don't want a password is the fact that I have this on line Journal at all. Why bother putting this thing on the net if I'm not gonna show the entire world? If I was gonna restrict access, why not just go out and buy a notebook? Much less hassle, much more secure, and much more music. (Sorry, had to slip that in). Anyway, the reason I put this page on the net was that anyone, anywhere can read it. I don't care. It was only a problem when I mentioned people that I associated with, since not everyone wants to had their life paraded in full view of the world. Mind you, I'm not exactly telling everything to everyone either, just this and that..

Oh yeah, remember that Guelph ban on watering of established lawns I mentioned a couple of days back? It seems as if they reinstated the ban. The day after a week of rain? Boy oh boy..

Went to play volleyball tonight. Ended up playing with the Chem grads since we didn't have enough people show up. I'm glad TG dragged GBC and TP out to play. We weren't good (we were bad actually) but at least it seemed as if everyone had fun. Jax showed up for volleyball again (that girl's actually coming out to play!) but obviously played for CTRL-A. Next week.. next week..

Ball hockey on the other hand.. was a bust. A big one at that. After getting people geared up to go, I wandered down there to find a few people there hanging around telling me that they canceled the game. What the.. okay, how come I didn't get contacted??!? It seems like all of the late games were canceled since the Icefield was closed at 10:30pm. After coming back to the office, I checked the schedule and it still showed the late games so I called up the convener (who used to be my power skating instructor). After a bit of apologizing, she explained that she e-mailed everyone, but apparently I didn't receive the notice. (No duh) They were gonna reschedule the games, so I suggested late Thursday afternoons.. I think that may be best for everyone. I think. We'll just have to see won't we?

That's it for now. I think I'll have time this weekend to work on the graphical counter. This should be good..
