Another amazing day weatherwise, it seems like there's no end to the sunshine in sight (forecast is for a great weekend)

Look straight ahead, nothing but blue skies!

I'm glad I got out for a little bit to enjoy the sunshine..

Last night was kinda busy, I met up with Renee and we went down to her new place so she could pick up a key for the door. The place looked kinda nice, with the same sorta setup that Laz's house has (each floor is a separate living section). The house looked very old.. probably post war tho.. much like the other houses around downtown Waterloo.

Walked her back to her apartment (where she was moving out).. geez, it was a much further walk than I expected since the place she was moving to was in the opposite direction from the university than her old place. The cool air kept me awake, and the exercise kept me from falling over. When I got there, most of the stuff in the apartment had already been cleaned up. (Her roommates were mostly moved out) She was mostly packed, so all I really got to do was move her boxes from the various rooms to the living room. She also showed me some of her drawings and models. I must admit, those drawings of hers are REALLY good.. I mean, it seems very professional, and she's only in her first year!

The drawings on the other hand, although good, were all very.. uh.. despairing I guess. They were well done, but it just seemed like the mood in these pictures were.. depressing. I dunno.. she's had a rough time in life, and I guess it shows up in her artwork, but I really hope things turn out better for her. She tries so hard.

Oh, did I mention that we started packing around midnight? Yeah, I was basically running on inertia.. I was too tired to stop. It only took us two hours before we were basically done. She had a lot of stuff and I was quite surprised that she actually was able to fit all of her belongings into her tiny room. We relaxed and talked a bit after on her bed. She's got one of those foamy beds that have no springs in them.. very comfortable. I ended up making it back home around 3 in the morning. I was glad I didn't have any early engagements today.

I still haven't told Dusty or Mr. Broomball about Renee's presence here in KW. I want to keep it a secret until I get her to surprise them with a visit.

There was a chemistry party of sorts this afternoon. A celebration for all of the grant money that we got this year. It was actually not that bad, I was able to talk to a number of people, and didn't feel too.. scared of the number of people floating around. (May have something to do with the tension relief) TG even asked if I wanted to go out dancing. I told her that I couldn't dance - which is true! Saw Growly while I was on the Chem lounge balcony and waved him down. Couldn't talk to him with all of the noise, and distance from the balcony, so I went down to talk to him. Had a nice chat and wandered up back to the party.

Well, the party winded down, and a bunch of them went to the Grad house for more drinks and talk, but here I am, typing away. It's getting late, I'm gonna get going now. TPshould be giving me a ride tomorrow at 11, so I should get some sleep.
