[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

What a cold and dreary day.. I finished off most of my food last night, so I now have a good reason to go home and stock up on supplies. While I was making my sandwiches for lunch I remembered about the BBQ that we (the Chem Grad Student Society) were going to have this afternoon. Doh. I guess I could eat it later..

Talked to TP when I got to school to inform her about Growly and Sara's request. After hearing that she'd get 20 bucks out of it, she agreed whole heartily. Happy, I ran back upstairs and phoned up Growly. Hmm.. still asleep, and it was already 11.. So I talked to Sara and she told me that Growly had gotten sick, so they probably wouldn't be going to Toronto..

Doh!

Ah.. that's alright.. no shirt off my back..

Speaking of Growly, and his comments about Pintar.. I was not surprised of his little story. I have one myself about a little discussion between Andrew Wagner and Mik, and I have a story from BSB about his little discussion with Mik. Both stories come to the same sort of conclusion that Growly came to. Quite interesting..

The BBQ started off slow.. we only had three people setting up. Amanda, Joe and me. Usually Chris would be setting up and I would be goofing off, but I guess it was my turn to chip in. Boy was it ever cold and windy. Joe asked me where I wanted to set up the BBQ, I figured that we should set it up where we normally did, since it didn't seem that cold at the time. The normal place that we set up the BBQ is out in an open area, where the wind was just howling through (okay, a little bit of an exaggeration but hey, we've got to exaggerate now and then). After setting up camp, Nick came out to help and we noticed that the temperature in the BBQ wasn't exactly rising like a rocket. In fat, it was quite tepid. That's when Nick suggested that we move the Q to a more sheltered area. After a bit of rankling (and the fact that it was originally my idea to put it out by the egg) I agreed. Unfortunately, Amanda didn't, so the Q stayed. Boy did we pay for that. We and the people who waited in line for food froze our butts off. Add this to the fact that the Q never got close to hot (probably because of the wind) which meant that food took a long time to cook..

No it wasn't a disaster.. it was annoying. Surprising even, since so many people actually came out to line up in the cold. Who is more foolish? The fool or those who follow the fool? After everyone had come by, the Q finally did heat up.. good grief. To top that off, it's sunny now, and kinda mild. I'm telling ya, someone up there is trying to give us a message..

Finally responded to Magnifica's messages.. after about a week. Yeah, that's about average so she shouldn't be too annoyed. Been clearing out my e-mail. Slowly. But I've made a bit of progress with work. Not all of it forward. Eh, I don't really care too much.

I seem to be having problems with Netscrape for the past couple of days crashing on me every now and then. It happens only when I try loading up my title page (this one for those who didn't notice). I can't figure out why.

Growly's comment a few days back (when he corrected me on my WWF goof up)

enjoy your page, as always... it's quite fascinating, though I'm not particularly sure what holds my attention, exactly...

An interesting comment.. although I'm not sure why..

Well, this gives me more incentive to set up some sort of Guestbook. I don't want to use one of those Guestbooks provided by one of those "free" agencies so I guess I'll have to write one myself. weirDo told me about his soon to be attempt at using perl to make some scripts, and I think that's the course I might go. I asked Growly for a couple of pointers too, and the general consensus is.. I'll do it when I have more time.

Speaking of that boy, a while back, weirDo must've checked out my page and came across the little blurb I had about QYV. When TRP asked me what the heck QYV was, weirDo directed him to that page. Actually, weirDo directed him to this page and they couldn't find their way around for the life of them! I'm debating weather or not to make the entrance to the PIT more obvious.. but do I really want people to enter?

Oh, good news, the International Lyrics Server will be back up soon! They've joined up with Songfile so that their Lyrics database will be legit! We'll see how this works out. I've already got a list of songs I want to check out the lyrics for.. and no, I'm not gonna tell you what they are, you'll have to hear me sing it.. (Ha! Scared ya off didn't I??)

Well, I should get going soon.. seems like the latest odds has me ten minutes up on TP.. I dunno.. I think I can make the spread a bit bigger than that.. we'll have to see if I can wake up tomorrow.. Ack, I smell like smoke, and I'm not even on fire.. so that's probably a good time to sign off!
