[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Guess what? I actually gave Lionsmane a call last night, and she was home! I was a little surprised when she picked up the phone. I had expected her to be at work or something. Ah well, we had a nice long conversation (not four hours, but close).

The sun got me up this morning, it streamed into my room, but it was the heat that got me out of bed. I left my window open since the cold air felt nice, but once the sun rose, I felt wave after wave of hot, humid air wafting down on me. After half an hour, I couldn't bear any more and went to take a shower.

Boy was it ever hot today. Listening in on the weather forecast for today, they predicted a high of 35 with a humidex of 44. Oi. That's a little unbearable. I guess I'll be staying in all day then.

My knee's shot. Can't walk properly, and a bruise on my shin makes it hard for me to blade. This doesn't bode too well for the game tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have recovered by then.

Bumped into Jean-Guy on the way in. Found out that he was only at school part time. That was news to me! (Although just about everything is news to me since I generally forget things the day after, or the hour after, or I'm just not listening to begin with.) Mentioned that he might be playing volleyball for the rest of the term, so hopefully I'll be bumping into him in the courts! (Yeah, I didn't notice the pun until he pointed it out.)

One of our students came up for help. Asked weirDo for help actually, I just wandered in. Actually, I didn't recognize her until after she had left and we were talking about it. I didn't think much more about it until I went over to the bank to get my books updated. No sooner than I had passed the egg, before I noticed her walking towards me. She apparently was having problems with the same question that she was asking about..

So I went inside to help. It was just a little scaling problem, but I didn't have time to explain, I just fixed it up and she went to class. I probably should have tried to give a better explanation, but I guess I was a little rushed, and dazed.. but I'm always dazed.

On the way back from the bank, the hot dog guy waved at me. Boy, I guess I've been eating there way too often. I saluted back.

I finally got the junk moved out from my room. HNT and HaremPresident came by to help me cart it away right before the meeting. My room feels much less cramped now.

The AX editor for this term got a little burnt today. I couldn't figure out why anyone would be outside all day, especially on a day like today. Anyway, I talked to her a bit about the the newsletter and I gave her my finished (more or less) memo. I think they liked it, so hopefully it'll be in good hands. Jax came by too, but she left only after a couple of minutes, which is too bad, since she won't be at the game this week (of course, I'll probably be missing the first game myself..)

It was a little embarrassing, when I was talking with some girl during dinner, after finding out that she couldn't play volleyball with us because of a trip, I asked her

"Don't you have school?"

To which her reply was

"I'm going into grade 11 next year."

*blink* What? What?? Whoa.. fooled me. (Maybe I shouldn't be hitting on you then.. =) I must have looked kinda stunned at that remark and we didn't talk after that. I should go and apologize or something, but I really thought that she was just a first year student. (Yeah, so I'm off by like.. four years - oi.)

I was still stunned the rest of the way back to school. Boy, I should stop jumping to conclusions.

Just finished marking all the labs for tomorrow. I can go and sleep now. It seems to have cooled down quite a bit from this afternoon, so it might actually be bearable tonight. We'll have to see.
