[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

I guess I did go watch a movie yesterday. In fact, I watched two. I went to a nice air conditioned apartment to watch A Bug's Life. Although the movie was not that awe inspiring, I was laughing my head off during the outtakes. Quite funny. The weather forecast predicted a thunderstorm on Sunday. They were a little off. The weather yesterday was very hot and humid, and on my way to the apartment, I heard the distant rumble of thunder, which got louder the closer I approached my destination. The rain actually started to fall about 5 minutes after I got there, and did it ever come down. Sorry, I sit corrected. It didn't come down, it came sideways. The wind was so strong that the rain was nearly falling horizontally. Quite a sight indeed. I was just glad that I was cool and dry.

After the movie and dinner, I was.. uh.. convinced to go watch Nodding Hill (come on, when have I said "no" to a cute brunette?). What surprised me was that the price of the ticket was $8.75.. ah. (I actually had exact change for $8, but not enough for $8.75 gah.). At least I didn't have to take the bus (or blade - which was how I got to the apartment).

The movie was surprisingly funny, although being a romantic comedy and a serious chick flick. (I personally wanted to watch the South Park movie - maybe on Tuesday..) Got dropped off at home (so I didn't have to blade from the apartment - which was one of the "extras" she threw in) and went to sleep despite the heat and humidity (the rain didn't help at all.)

Got a phone call this afternoon. Apparently I had left my sunglasses at the apartment. Gosh darned it. I wanted to go skating too (it was the first rec skating this term, that I could actually go out to, and it was two hours long!) but I figured that getting my glasses now was better than getting them on say.. Friday.

I still stuck around at home dinking around with a new Baldur's Gate character. (A female half-elf Cleric/Mage - true neutral) Man, I'm really having too much fun with this game. It wasn't long before I got another phone call. That woke me out of my stupor and got me moving around (it also got me a little worried about this trip thing.. we'll see. I've got some phoning to do.)

On my way to the apartment, I found it kind of odd that a car would honk when the traffic wasn't moving that slowly. A few seconds later, this car pulls up onto the driveway in front of me and.. hey.. the car looks familiar. Waitaminute! The driver looks kinda familiar too! Guess who it was! Go on! Guess!!

Oh. wha.. come on.. what kinda guesses where tho.. no! Nonono.. forget it. Stop.. stop guessing! (Gee). Anyway, I talked with her for a bit. Quite a sight to watch someone in blades balancing on an inclined slope. (that being me) She offered me a ride, but I was nearly there already, so there was no real need. Too bad I was in a rush, I might have asked if she'd go shopping with me (which I can't do now since the grocery stores are closed now). Must be really nice to have a car huh?

Made it to the apartment, absorbed the cold air, picked up my glasses, and went to school. Made it to school right at the start of the rec skating period. Unfortunately, I still had to walk to the rink. Bah. I didn't care too much, since there was no way I was gonna be able to skate for two hours and be conscious at the end. So I took my time.

Boy was skating ever nice. Air conditioning to the max, and it was nice to wear pants again. I never really liked wearing shorts (shows off all my scars). It's funny how we all meet people everywhere. When you see someone, it's natural to look. When you make eye contact, it's natural to greet them. When they greet you, it's natural to greet back. But this is not true for everyone. Some people will not make any greeting at all. It would depend on the person, but it always seems nice to be greeted by a stranger, especially someone in your neighborhood. It just makes the place more friendly. I find that my neighborhood is like that, which is nice. So remember, be nice to people, even though you might not know them. It's just common courtesy.

Skating was good as usual, the broomball semi-finals were right after, so I stuck around to check it out. Seems like we'll be meeting the pink slippers.. unless the ph@PV=RTs can pull off a few goals in the second half. Should be a good game.

Finally finished writing up the BattleTech stuff, so for those of you who are still into it, and haven't seen my designs, you can go and check them out.

Marking's finally done, and it's getting late. I actually feel like I've completed something, even though I didn't actually do any work related work this weekend. Bah. I guess that's what the week is for huh? Well, I should get going then. Tomorrow will be.. interesting.
