[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

Got up late.. again. I should try to get rid of this jet lag. I was able to calculate the costs of my trip last night tho, which was quite interesting once I found out how much each component of the trip cost..

Transport Food Lodging Postcards Other Casino Totals

Cross Canada -91.57 -161.37 -143.20 -48.92 -59.36 +82.00 -422.42
Vancouver -84.45 -171.53 -- -23.76 -56.92 -- -336.66
Return Trip -452.00 -- -- -- -- -- -452.00

Totals -628.02 -332.90 -143.20 -72.68 -116.28 +82.00 -1211.08

I should mention that it took us a week to cross the country, and we (Laz and I) were stuck in Vancouver for another week, thus the amount of time elapsed for the first two rows are equal. The return trip only takes into account the plane ticket and taxi ride home.

Some highlights would be.. well, I spent over seventy dollars on post cards and stamps for the entire trip, which is.. quite a bit more than I anticipated. Winning money at the casino also made a large difference, since if I had lost the eighty dollars I originally spent, I would've gone down 580 dollars in the cross Canada trip as opposed to only 420. Another thing that the transport costs are much lower than anticipated, less than a hundred dollars for the trip across (this includes gas and the car).

I should also note that approximately 12% (or 145 dollars) of the total cost is made up of various taxes. Painful huh? However, the total cash that I control only dropped a hundred dollars or so from last month, which is a good sign. It seems like this money was well spent. Still, it freaked me out to find that I spent more than one third of the trip cost on the last day of the trip. Ouch.. I think something similar happened when I went down the coast two years ago.. I think I'll be keeping better track of my money from now on.

Mind you, after checking my notes and the cash I actually had on hand, I was off by 25 cents.. which I didn't bother tracking down.

Now finished up two more days of the trip, that leaves another 11 to go.. gah. I should get ready for the house warming party thing this afternoon.. let's see now..

Well, maybe I won't go to the party.. finished another day, and it's getting dark (storm clouds). I best be going lest I get wet on the way home.
