Geez, that was a pretty short entry huh? Ended up watching part of the Mask and The island of Dr. Mor.. something. Eh, kinda freaky, but that's about it.
Today was fairly uneventful, got more mail than I had expected, and I think I finally figured out why the heck my program's been giving me screwy numbers! Yay!! I'm testing it out right now, so hopefully if it works, I can get these molecules done and start cracking on my thesis..
Two things I'd like to talk about today. First one I guess will be talking about.. relationships between friends. I've been having this discussion with someone (nameless of course) about whether or not friends should be intimate. Kind of a touchy subject, but as we have gone through the ages, we've had changes in the views of sex and all things related to it. The standard argument that doing something like this will change the relationship, but this person suggested that if both parties just wanted pleasure then it would be alright.
Still I think there's more to it than that. I'll have to think about this more before giving a more in depth synopsis of my opinion, but anyone who's reading this is quite welcome to comment..
The second thing is something I've talked about before (I think) but this idea of not doing anything so as not to hurt someones feelings, or assuming that the person has some common sense. I must admit, that I have no common sense, and I also suffer from this (like the Tom thing). Why do we keep quiet until we burst? (Not literally of course, since that would make such a mess) I guess it seems easier to hold back at that time than it is to confront the issue, but as the number of times increases, it gets more and more difficult to contain the angst, but it also gets more and more difficult to confront the problem.
I'm really not feeling quite eloquent right now (something to do with requiring food and sleep or something - I didn't get much sleep this weekend). Geez, I think I'll get some food first. But.. I really don't understand people at all.
