[4:00 PM EST - Dream Sequence.]

Actually, I did have a freaky dream that had already wandered off into another subject by the time I was shaken out of my trance by that phone call. I remember talking with this (awfully cute - and young) girl, and she told me that I got her pregnant. This shocked me quite a bit, but then I realized.. "Hey waitaminute here, I never slept with you.". For some odd reason, I agreed to help raise the child. That's where my memory fades, although the scary thing is that I remember who the girl was. You'd be shocked too if you knew, but I'm staying silent since her bf would kill me.

Hmm.. it stopped snowing. This is good..

Last night's exercise didn't help my soreness much. But it didn't hurt my appetite. When I was debating whether I should stay in bed or not, the sound of chainsaws got me up and about in no time (no time being an hour or so). There was quite a bit of commotion in the back, and it had to do with the power company doing stuff. I'm not quite sure, but I realized (too late) that they had cut the power to the house. This made blowdrying my hair a little difficult. Fortunately, there was quite a bit of hot water in the tank so I didn't have any problems with my shower or doing the dishes.

I remembered later that we got a notice for the planned power outage a week in advance, but I had read the notice and figured that I'd be in school or going back to Toronto by then. Oi, I should've wrote it down. I was going to copy some files to my computer, but I was too tired to last night and obviously unable to do it this morning. Since I won't be leaving the city today, I guess tonight will be as good as any time to do it.

On the way to school I found out what the heck they were chainsawing in the back. It wasn't the old hydro poles, they were actually taking down some tree branches that got close to the new power lines. I saw their mulcher grinding away as I got out the door.

I haven't been particularly productive today. Been a little worried about the weather most of the afternoon. I have been reading up on some of the stuff Tiffi wrote on her page though. Quite interesting, especially the one with the sandbox, that was hilarious! If only I had thought of that one too..

Well, I might as well continue on with the updates: Jax has so far made it to the weekend a little worse for wear. KGL has also come out mostly unscathed from the week of midterm hell. Finally, Laz is thinking of cleaning up his talk scripts.

While reading up on Jax's new entry, I was reminded about something that some guy told me during a volleyball game a couple of weeks back. I was wearing my Hong Kong shirt, and he came up to me and asked:

"Do you know what Hong Kong means?"

Uhh.. yeah, it was.. umm.. er..

"Fragrant Harbour"

Yeah! That's right. So now the rest of you who didn't know now know.

Since I'm on the topic of interesting facts, weirDo told me a few days back that the stuff we put on our teeth to clean them is actually called dentifrice. I checked this morning and yup, right on the bottom of the tube it was labeled as dentifrice. I found that quite interesting. Mind you, it's also toothpaste, but dentifrice also applies to powders and liquids as well. Look it up!

I've been going a little MP3 crazy for a couple of weeks, and a couple of days ago I finally got myself a copy of "What about me?". Man, I remember hearing that as a kid and wanting to get a copy for myself, but it wasn't played often enough so I couldn't find out who the heck sang the thing much less what most of the lyrics or title was. (Well, the title is pretty obvious, but it's not always the case.) So, I only found out who the artist and lyrics were from the ILS last year sometime, but couldn't find the song. I finally got the song in the past couple of days. It's like I've completed a quest of some sort. Even though it's not the best song in the world, it's just the feeling of completing something that's gone on for so long that really gives you that warm fuzzy feeling. No, not heartburn. Geez, you people..

From the rumour mill: Windows might become open sourced, although there are conflicting reports, while there may be a Simpsons movie in the near future. We'll wait and see. I got these gems from ArsTechnica and the ShackNews

Time for me to go. I hope I don't forget my skates here..
