[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Whoa boy, despite the rather sordid weather, I just took a look at the counter and it's up to three thousand! My god! I remember just two and a half months ago when I was happy that it broke the 2K psychological barrier..

Anyway, congrats to visitor number three thousand!

Now on to the daily updates. KGL has a new .plan:

I'm gonna have a breakdown if this continues...

Aww.. poor kid, maybe we should cheer her up or something..

Whoa.. the sky cleared up and the sun is shining. When did this happen? Last time I checked (all of thirty minutes ago) it was still overcast and the sun was pretty dull.. As Jimmy would say, "I can see clearly now.."

Well, I've been pestered by KGL a bit, first because apparently I don't update this page often enough, and secondly because the kid wants to know who the heck this girl I've been chasing is. Well, first of all, I'm not chasing any girl, secondly, nobody knows who this person is. This leads to my final conclusion: It's for me to know, and for you not to find out! Ha!

Oh, for those of you who haven't noticed, I've caved in and stuck on tables on all of my pages. So now everything should be squished into a column 65 percent the width of the browser window (unless you're using Lynx - like me!).

I should be going home this weekend. I think I've locked in a ride, but I shouldn't jump to any conclusions. Hopefully I'll be able to go skating sometime on the pond. I need to practice my spins (which I doubt I'll be doing tonight) and I need to work on my jumps (which is probably what we'll be doing tonight).

Too bad there's no broomball.. I'll have to suffer through another two weeks of widthdrawal.. ugh.

I've been working on my thesis, but if I have time, I'm gonna start playing around with the search engine a bit more to allow non-alphanumeric characters, especially the dash (-). No promises though.

[4:00 PM EST - Another player huh?]

Well, I'm back from skating. Or should I say skating and broomball? I'll get into that later. First of all, this week, both of our skating instructors didn't show up, so we had two subsitutes. One was the guy from last week, and the other is that cute girl who reminded me of SG.

She gave me some pointers on my Salchow, so I hope to put them to good use this weekend.

After skating, I hung around to scratch up the ice a bit more. I didn't realize that there were broomball games tonight, and that the first game had the remains of the farm team playing. The other team I think I recognized, and after sticking around for a few minutes, we realized that they needed players. So I grudgingly offered my services. Grudgingly because I didn't bring any of my equipment (shoes, helmet, pads, gloves, stick), and would have to sign out one of the icky helmets. Luckly enough, this was the first game, so the helmets were dry, but still.. I wonder how many heads have worn the helmet that I wore today..

I don't even want to think about that.. I need a shower.

Oh yeah, the game.. I wasn't exactly in the best of shape, so I wasn't playing that well today, and our team didn't really have a goalie (I could've done better.. really!), so I wasn't surprised when we went down 2-0 in the first few minutes of playing. We did have a couple of fairly good players though, this sorta offset the couple of bad players we had, and we started scoring goals for some reason. Actually, most of our opponents goals were easy ones which were stoppable. The goals that we got were really pretty, for the most part. I think this was the team that hadn't played broomball before, and they have improved quite a bit (although they still need a real goalie). In the end, we clawed our way back to a 6-6 tie, and our last shot of the game was into an open net, but just it was going in, one of the defenders dove and caught the ball just on the line. It was a close call, but it was an amazing save. I still can't believe that we could've won that game. I was even more surprised to see how evenly the teams were matched near the end. Oh well, I expect to bump into both teams later this term.

Oh yeah, I got an assist, and that's about it.

I've been working on a new script.. I don't know why, I just came across something interesting and I wanted to try it out. Netscape doesn't seem to show it in it's full glory (nor Lynx), so I'm leaving it up to you IE folks to see if you get those submenus on the thing I wrote up here.

Man, I stayed much later than I had wanted. I think I'm gonna miss out on dinner tonight.. wah.

No time left, but I'll do the daily update thing again. Laz has been busy with perl (same problem I'm having with my search script with non alphanumeric characters.. I think I know a clean way around it, but must.. write.. thesis..), MJO has an update as well! Seems like that boy has been doing a fair bit of security stuff (can't really understand.. brain not functioning ATM), Jax has been doing some biofrench (I like the "These fruits gave all their juice to be here.". Cracked me up.), and that's about it. Hmm.. not a bad day either.

I'm really tired. I'm gonna go. I hope I don't collapse on my way home..
