[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

I don't know why people are already complaining about Valentine's Day.. it's still a week away! (The same goes for most holidays and special events in the year, why do people worry about them weeks, or even months, beforehand? Oi.)

Here's the daily .plan update. Jax wrote:

Midterm hell.

While KGL put up:

In the darkest corners of my mind they creep
Underneath my pillow at night when I sleep
Those hands I once longed to feel
I wanna squash them under my heel

Although the original was all in caps, I figured I didn't want to blind anyone..

She's also got a new update on that homepage, which an interesting quote from Riston:

"That bloody [QYV] -- he'll get it on Wednesday!"

What? What? What did I do? (And what did TY do??)

Speaking of quotes, it's election fever out here and there are people running for positions for something or other.. I never keep up with any of this political stuff. Anyway, on one of the posters for the guy running for VP Education weirDo noticed that the candidate had written:

Highlight "human" consiquences of tuition increases..

Which is good and all, except that consequences should be spelled with an "e"..

You know, it's still kind of weird going into the restaurant and not having to ask for the no smoking section. I guess after ten years, it gets ingrained into your system. Yesterday, when we went to the Red Lobster for dinner, I had to refrain from saying "no smoking please" when they asked us how many people we had attending. Then they led us into the area which used to be the designated smoking section..

Well, everything was fine, and during our deliberations for food, this girl sitting alone next to us offered us some suggestions for our meal. Okay, no prob. After a while, we started talking about anime and JCC was talking about some new shows down in Japan. The girl next to us interrupts and mentions that she knew what we were talking about, and told us that we were talking about some computer games right? Then she starts going on about this and that and the kicker was when she said:

"A geek can recognize another geek."

Not meaning it in a bad way of course.

Oh boy. At that point in time, I was very glad I was well shielded by KNZ, since our table just went silent. Well, what could we say? I felt sorry for JCC since he was out on the end and basically was the only one she was talking too. We started talking again after a little while amongst ourselves, but we could overhear a conversation (if you can call it that) that she was trying to have to the table across from us. She claimed that she knew those guys and that they should recognize her. After ignoring her for a while, she went away, and I asked one of those guys if they really did know her. He didn't.

After that, we started talking about crazy people. It was an interesting discussion.

I got a wonderful saying from a cute friend of mine:

"Sentio aliquos togatos contra me conspirare."

Laughed my head off when I understood what that meant.. (So I hadn't seen it before, so sue me.)

Alright, this is getting crazy.. instead of just your standard daily update, we've got this multiple update thing going on now.. anyway..

Three seconds to say I love you,
Three hours to explain it,
And a lifetime to prove it.

That's what's up on KGL's plan now. Any guesses?

My cable went out a couple of days ago. I didn't think much about it until I turned on my television last night and was greeted by static. I think we may have lost the connection somewhere, so I'll have a talk with HNT when I get home tonight.

It was a nice day today, and we went out to Jose's for our weekly burger (sans the busy RHS). Checked out the new Halo movie, and I finally got to scan in those pictures I've been holding on to for the past couple of weeks. Now all I have to do is to get them home and fixed up. I had planned to do some marking and work tonight but I got a little side-tracked. KGL took me to the science informal at the bomber because.. well, because. I went for the free food. There wasn't much variety BTW, but it was free, so what could I say? Bumped into way more people there than I had expected, but we weren't planning on staying long so we left after fifteen minutes or so. I guess it was nice seeing some of the people there (science frosh leaders, all of them), but there wasn't much to talk about. Oh well.

I'm feeling a little tired and woozy right now. Way more people checking this page than I ever thought there would be so I gotta be extra careful of what I'm talking about (lest I pull another one of those things I mentioned in the disclaimer..). Much work left uncompleted, and still trying to get over this cold. Got a number of suggestions from Jax on the cold front.. gotta remember about my vitamin C pills..

Lots of interesting news today at the ShackNews or on ArsTechnica, but you can check it out for yourselves.. (I love the "We're gonna die" one.. third time's the charm right?)

Gah, there's a lunch thing tomorrow to go to, and broomball as well. I feel like crap. weirDo mentioned how I didn't look sick, which is a good sign, since when I do look sick, I feel like.. well, you can imagine.

Interesting how we had a discussion about it during lunch. weirDo didn't believe me when I told him that the past tense was shat. Even used webster to prove myself right! (I was right! I was right!)

Guh.. getting hungry. It's time for me to go home.. I wanna crash..
