Ooh! KGL's been getting busier and busier with that homepage. There's a new picture up, so you won't be able to do that "who's KGL" guess anymore. Oh well, I wonder who those other two were?

It also seems as if Laz's page is back up! See what he's been up too recently..

A few days ago during our broomball game, I noticed that one of the girls on our team.. okay, okay, THE girl on our team was wearing a Mount Allison sweater.

I was thinking to myself.. "Hey.. isn't Mount Allison in.."

So I asked her if she came from Sackville. Apparently not, but she knew someone who did! Hey! So I asked him if he knew a guy by the name of MJO. Apparently he did! I was rather surprised! Actually, I probably shouldn't be that surprised. Sackville isn't that big a town from what I've been told, so there was a good chance that he'd know MJO (since they were around the same age).

I found that kinda interesting. Mind you, I've known of these people for over a year now..

Oops, it seems as if Laz's page is down again. I have no idea what's going on there..

At least Sparky has a new entry up, and speaking of bottled water, when I was having lunch with Jax a couple of days ago, I was shown that the label on the bottled water Jax had proclaimed that it was sodium free! Just above that notice was a table of trace substances. Near the bottom, it read: Sodium - 18mg.

I would've quoted it, but I can't remember the exact number. I'll have to check with Jax.. [Friday, February 4, 2000: It's actually 1.8 mg]

BTW, to Sparky, I can only say:

"DOH! (eh! - gotta Canadianize everything..)"

To think that I even saw that movie.. "It's an orange on a stick!" (or thereabouts - as you can see how poor my recollection of quotes are). Ahh, mind you, when I did see that movie, I was sitting in the front row, next to this girl who I had the hugest crush on, so I wasn't particularly paying attention to the movie - which basically engulfed my entire field of view - and tried to figure out ways to get closer to her..

Oh well, there went my chance at 35 cents..

BTW, I don't play hockey. Yet..

There were a couple of things I forgot to mention a while back. Sometime this weekend, I think it was Sunday, I was rolling around in my bed, when I heard something slip, and then a loud *THUD*. At that point, I felt as if my butt was going to touch the floor. The bed I slept on was one of those wood board ones which doesn't use a box spring mattress. Instead, it uses these wooden planks to keep the mattress from sagging to the ground. Unfortunately, whoever designed the bed should be shot, since there were only three (awfully heavy) planks which, if put together, don't actually span the whole bed. It's about two thirds actually. So you need to spread the planks out a bit to provide even support for the entire mattress. The second problem with these planks is that although they can span the gap in the bed, there is so much leeway on either side that if you push the plank so that it's flush with one side of the bed, the other end will not have any support any more and hit the floor.

This is what happened that morning.

I had just finished playing three games of broomball the night before and I was in no mood to move. Unfortunately, sleeping without butt support isn't quite comfortable either, so I begrudgingly rolled off the bed and tried to replace the plank without taking the mattress off. Was that ever a chore. The plank was too heavy to move, especially since I had no leverage when I tried to lift the darned piece of wood from one end. A few exasperated minutes of heaving and groaning eventually required inventive placement of the mattress and board so that I could keep them out of each other's way without needing an extra pair of hands.. or feet. Then I went back to sleep. I'm surprised I still remember it at all, but I do remember the pain.. guh.

This morning, instead of a falling plank, there was a phone call. Man, will I never get any good sleep in the morning?

I bumped into a frosh leader on the way to lunch. I've been seeing her every now and then, it's too bad I don't talk to her much. She's cute.

I was talking with weirDo and showing him the snow day pictures on Tiffi's page. After peeking at the amount of snow that had fallen, it didn't seem very bad, so I asked weirDo where Oklahoma was. This got us into a little diversion (we get into quite a number of "little" diversions) to try to map out all of the states in the continental United States. We were mostly right for most of the states, but when it came to the interior, we struck out. I hope I don't get lost in the heart of the USA any time soon. Anyway, with the help of Map Quest, I found out where Oklahoma was. Holy south batman! Now I'm quite impressed by the amount of snow they good. Too bad we don't get snow days when that much snow falls..

While I'm still talking about Tiffi, she's got a new entry as well! Man, those two girls are getting even more garrulous than I am! (I mean it in the best possible way of course, but I'm definitely garrulous =)

Skating was good. I'm getting more practice with my spins. Once I get over the initial shock of spinning in circles (I get dizzy quite easily), I can actually start improving on my technique. I guess I'll have to practice a bit more on my own though..

Ended up walking with this one girl back from the rink since she started talking with me. Wow, that usually doesn't happen with me.. that was kinda freaky.

Anyway, broomball was okay. We got slaughtered 4-0, but that was to be expected. Considering that many of the players on my team are inexperienced, they're slowly learning how to play better individually. We'll have to work on that team part..

Been working on my new project.. a search engine! Wow whee.. this thing is easier than I thought, but it's taking longer than anticipated. So does that average out? Ah well, I have the engine finished, I just have to throw up the frills and idiot proof it. Waitaminute.. nope, I forgot something. Dang. Ahh, I think it's time for me to go to sleep..
