Hmm.. Jax has a new .plan up. A bit of skating jargon.

Guess what? I nearly lost my skates! I only realized last night, after suggesting another skating thing with Jax. I looked down to check on my skates, and they weren't there! Doh! I figured that I might've forgotten them on the bench after the broomball game. So instead of going straight home, I went to the CIF first to check to see if my skates were there. I figured the red moon in the sky couldn't be a sign of bad luck, so I went to the equipment desk and asked if there was a pair of skates that they found.

"Size eleven?"

Oh yeah! I must've been born with a horseshoe up my.. anyway, I recognized them immediately when he brought the skates to me. I was very happy.

weirDo saw a sign in front of a computer store:

Free computer!

With every $2000 mousepad.

Hmm.. does that mean I can get $2000 for my old mousepad?

What the.. seems like Apache doesn't do the .htaccess thing (We used to use Mosaic). I guess I'll have to find another way to password protect my files then..

I've just been informed that Apache does allow for .htaccess, but it's not configured ATM. It's being worked on as I type!

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday during my protracted discussion about the moon. During the TRACE workshop, I got there more-or-less on time, but still had to sit in the back because the room was so full. A few minutes after I sat down, some guys sat down in front of me. One I recognized as one of my former students (played for the Kitchener Rangers), another looked like a former housemate, and the third is a grad student in my group! How bizarre.

I tried to remember the middle guy's name.. and the only name my brain could come up with is Tim. "I am Tim the enchanter". Ahem. So when he started looking around, he saw me behind him, so I greeted him with a oh-so-confident:

"Tim?"

To which he replied.

"No. Trevor."

Doh. A wonderful memory I have not.

I still remember living with the guy (for all of four months). The most memorable moment would be when he brought one of his friends home. The had been out drinking and his friend was pissed drunk. As Trevor lived in the basement, they both wandered down to the staircase. I think I was watching the television when I heard a:

*thud* *Thud* *THUD* *CRASH*

Followed by a very quiet.

"I'm all right!"

At which point he promptly fell asleep at the bottom of the stairs.

AgentP's having a bit of trouble with Homeworld. I sent him a couple of my save games on the off chance he might need some help.

This morning, weirDo asked if I was watching @discovery.ca last night. I wasn't. Then he told me that during their answer period, they came across some e-mail from a certain grad student at the University of Waterloo asking about the differences between the phases of the moon and the phases of a lunar eclipse. Coincidentally, they answered that question the night of the lunar eclipse..

Anyway, I bumped into the afore mentioned student this afternoon, and I informed her of the event. She seemed surprised and told me:

"I sent that question last year!"

Apparently, they told her that they would e-mail her the date when they would air the question, but she never got any such message. I found that funny. The hosts were making fun of her name (from what I hear) but nobody I know taped the show.

Went skating with Jax again today. I tried calling to confirm a meeting time, but I kept getting this darned modem picking up the phone. Jax insisted that she had call answer installed, but I could never get through. After Jax got a hold of me, I found out that the number that I had been using was wrong. Funny, that's the number that she stuck onto her finger info so..

The phone number is now correct, I hope.

Went by Tiffi's page today. I couldn't stop laughing! Sorry Tiffi, your life is much more comical than mine, even though it's at your expense. Ahh..

Gotta get going soon, my ride should be here in a few minutes. I doubt the .htaccess stuff will be finished by then, but heck, you never know. Just checked on weirDo. He's typing maddly at his keyboard trying to get this thing to work. It's sort of like those "computer people" they show in the movies, how they type madly away at the keyboard, except weirDo is actually doing something productive.

Just went by Sparky's site who's put in a shameless plug for The PIT. Ain't that sweet? Anyhoo, any girl who can publically talk about their nipples gets a bookmark from me! (My nipples, on the other hand, are nothing to write home about.. *looks in shirt*)

Well, gotta go. Don't want to be (too) late.
