I found out yesterday that we had been volunteered do mark the midterms for the course. I have not done this before, and if I had, I can't remember it. The prof had always done the marking, but he's been swamped lately, so there's the reason. After marking the assignments (and seeing how poorly everyone did) I was a little worried about how well the midterms would go. Well, now I've got a good feeling how well my section is doing. Piss poor. I've only got two people who seem to be passing the midterm, and unless there's a miracle at the end of the test, I foresee an average for my section around the forties. This is actually a little depressing. You'd think that kids would get smarter with each passing generation, but that's not the trend that I've been seeing. It's quite disturbing.
I'm slowly attaching some new pictures to the pictures list. It's too bad it's the same old stuff. I need to find different people to put up.. *thinks* Maybe I should put up a picture of Jax and KGL. They don't seem to be camera shy. What do you think? (Apart from the obvious "how are you gonna get their pictures?"). Well.. maybe not.
Although the video clip with the little blurb about CTRL-A may not be available, FlyingS has ripped out part of the audio that shows what a real otaku can do. Mind you, I have not and don't plan to ever do what that guy did, and a couple of you might even recognize the voice (I'm sure MJO can). Also, here's how the Closed Captioning people delt with that clip:

Hrumph. I guess some of those kids had some karma to burn. Most of them passed, but the marks still aren't all that good. Ah well, we'll see how the rest of the class fares..
Hmm.. this is actually kinda funny. I called home to see what was up with this Laz thing, so HNT picked up the phone. We said "hello" a couple of times, and then assuming that I answered the phone, he said:
"All right, you've got it."
*blink* Waitaminute! *click* Doh. I guess I'll wait a while before calling back.
Well, I have no idea what's going on. I should go skating tomorrow, but that depends on what happens tonight. I also wonder what's up with dinner. I haven't heard any word of who'll be showing up. Ain't uncertainty grand? Hmm.. right now, I'm hungry. I'm gonna get some food.
