[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Growly has entered a picture into the PhotoImpact Challange. We'll see if he won today!

Uhh.. uh oh. I told him to talk to the higher powers, but it seems as if Growly has lost his Sciborg account! (This being the Laz fallout.) Anyway, both Laz and Growly have had their Sciborg accounts axed. I guess it's time to update those links..

Oh yeah, I guess they won't be able to update their .plans either. How unfortunate. Now I've got to rely on KGL for new and interesting comments.. like this one:

No strings attached
No copy to match
No drift to catch
No plans to hatch
No itch to scratch
Just infatuation
Is all you need

*shrug*

Fixed up the security on one of the scripts I wrote for the group. Well, it's not really for the group, but it sounds like I'm doing something more productive that way. Anyway, it's fixed.. mostly, so I'm quite happy with that.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I passed by Future Shop last night. I wanted to check out something. The main reason I got the black (optical) EverGlide Mousing Surface was so that I might be able to use the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer. So I went to check it out. Not bad. It's kinda cool how the mouse works on basically any surface, but I found the mouse itself to be amazingly large. I guess you might be able to get used to it, since it does feel fairly comfortable, but I would like to test one out for a week first before shelling out the (hundred) bucks for this toy.

After that high capacity CD-ROM thing that was shown on ArsTechnica, a couple of other sites were posted that had related information. One was the Ultra High Density Memory System and another about TiVO.

For you intelligence freaks, there's an article on Feed.

This is funny. The ShackNews has a link to the Britney Spears Countdown To Legality page. You remember, the page (which is hosted by a UW student) weirDo found a while ago. I just wanted to mention how many hits this page had before (around 20k) and now (around 60k). Expect to see that number keep rising..

BTW, this was also an interesting read.

Hrumph. Seems like the Coppermine CPU has some problems. Found out about it on ZDNet.

Just found out that I received the wrong letter! My NSERC application was sent out so I still have a chance! Whoo Whoo!

Been playing around with the scripts again.. good lord, I should finish all the stuff I plan to do soon and do some real work! Speaking of which, I've finally finished the power series constrained fits for Rb2! Yay. Now I just need the rounded values and I'll be ready to hack at the constrained parameter fits. Once that is done, I can finish up the paper and send it off!

Oh yeah, back to the scripts, found out an interesting print command, I don't actually have to use print in each line of code, but I can print basically in verbatim, which makes the code a little less cluttered. Check it out if you want, although I'm still working around with it. I've also made some of my scripts a bit more efficient, and I still have to go through the files and work on those comments.. I may have to write README files for each of these guys if I plan to use them in the future. I doubt I'll be able to understand my own work if I leave it along for a few years, so some reminding may be necessary.

Now all I have to do with this clean-up is to fix the directory of quotes. Probably add a random quote thing. Hmm..

Laz gave me a heads up on an spelling error I had here, and the possibility that Growly might get his account back. Time will only tell.. I'm also eagerly awaiting a full review of the G400 from the boy. Urge to buy rising..

One more thing, the site (more like this page) has finally broken the 2000 barrier! I had hoped to break 2K before December, but heck, what am I complaining about? People are actually coming to this page! (Scary thought huh?)

Well, it's time for me to go. My ride in arriving soon so I have to pack up and go. Mmm.. food awaits..
