[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

In the drive to give ALee a thousand messages from the CTRL-A mailing list, I've had an explosion of CTRL-A e-mail in the past week or so. (I think we've got four hundred messages to go.. oi vey.) Anyway, with the dozens of messages, come dozens of links which I can check out. Oh yeah, HaremPresident started up a contest of sorts to find out any news about possible Y2K problems that can or has happened. To this end, FlyingS has dredged up this link and this link. MJO might be able to confirm the latter story.

While going through this Y2K stuff, FlyingS checked on Ian's page and found some new work that he's done. After a bit of kawaii overdose, KNZ responded with this link chock full of screenshots.

One new show on TV, "Metal Angel Kurumi" has a protagonist who looks, um, quite a bit like Emiko-chan. Different eyes and costume, though.

Interesting, really turns up that kawaii factor there. She looks like a cross between Emiko and Yurika (from Martian Successor Nadesico). What the show is about and whether it's good or not is anyone's guess.

Oh man, just checked out the new Emiko picture and.. boy is it different.

Well, a couple of things from Wednesday night I forgot to talk about. First of all, on the way back to the house, I did the stupid thing of trying to remember the code for the door. I don't know why I did that, especially since I don't "memorize" the code or anything, but just press the buttons instinctively. Well, by the time I had reached the house, I had completely confused myself and screwed up the code. Eventually the lock just buzzed at me and refused any more inputs. Crap! I was lucky Werdna was home or I would've had to stay outside for a long, long time.

I also got to see "Greed: The Series" on the television. Much like "Do You Want to be a Millionaire?" but much more cut-throat. Quite an enjoyable show though, even though I had no idea how these people were able to answer some of those questions.. Man.

For the past few days, I've noticed a large number of white spots on the streets and parking lots while I was travelling to and from school. It took me a while to figure out that they're probably salt stains from the dump we got on Tuesday. Just hope I don't kill myself rolling over some of the larger (unmelted) chunks.

Another thing I've noticed with the arrival of cold weather, the grass and unpaved earth have firmed up considerably. During the summer, I could always trust the grassy area to slow me down if I lose control on my blades (they don't seem to like rolling on grass). Unfortunately, now that the ground is much harder, and caught me off guard when I tried to stop myself heading towards the street. To be blunt, I didn't stop, and nearly ended up in the middle of traffic. Oi, winter blading has it's own dangers huh?

Remember children, don't do this at home!

For those of you keeping track, Theochem is still not at full capacity yet. None of the cgi links work, and I'm seriously considering moving all of the scripts over to Sciborg.. but that would be such a pain.. wah.

Wandered down to Growly's page to see what was happening, and he even had a message to me! Ain't that grand? Anyhoo, not to disappoint, I should mention that I've finished the Tales of the Sword Coast adventures with my second character (a female cleric-mage for those of you wondering) and since I've picked up all of the cool weapons and most of the cool spells in the game, I'm going to breeze past the final missions so that I can pick up the Strength and Wisdom boosting books before saving the character. She'll be pretty rocking in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn!

Oh yeah, been invited to SC's birthday party thing. Funny how I didn't hear about it until now, seeing that it's taking place tonight. Actually, what the heck, I don't even know her too well so I shouldn't be surprised. Anyhoo, I'm in for a game of charades though!

*does James Bond pose*

Ha ha.. we better not be doing movies this time, not unless I'm choosing the movies! I'll be sure to bring my camera just in case..

Well, I should probably go back home. I doubt anyone knows that I'm at school, and I am way too late for recreational skating today. I'll see if I can make it for tomorrow's rec skate.
