Been mucking around with HTML and came across the <pre> tag. Man, had I known about it, then I wouldn't have that much trouble with the finger script (which I later scrapped). Gah. I'll see if I can use it somewhere so I won't forget about it.
Holy crap! Just read on ZDNet that Red Hat shares have gone through the roof (again)! After word about their deal with Dell, their shares went up 15.5% or over thirty bucks! The shares are around 232 bucks a piece! Maybe I should have gotten onto the bandwagon.. oh well.
Also heard about the new SiGe-Cu technology IBM is boasting about. Everyone's talking about it, so you can probably check it out at any computer site.

Oh, I had forgotten to mention that the hot pot dinner on Friday night was a little different than what I was used to. All of the hot pots that I've gone to had people cooking food with chopsticks and metal.. sieves that you can put food in and cook with. Our dinner was a little different. We didn't have any sieves, and they also made a type of sauce made from raw egg, soy sauce, and satay sauce. A little different, but still pretty good.
Hmm.. seems like I didn't notice the little things that MJO changes on his homepage.. Go check out his links page, he's changed description for the link to The PIT very slightly..
The work on the random quote generator is a prelude to my overhaul of the entire Sayings directory. It's currently in a state of flux, and was pretty messed up to begin with, so it's gonna be a pretty sorry sight for the next couple of days, especially considering that Theochem will be going down in two days..
I was thinking of moving most of the quotes into a database and then figuring a way of displaying it. Random quotes are nice and all, but those who want to suck in the entire listing in one gulp may want a bigger straw..
I also want to reduce the amount of maintenance in this section since I don't update it often (like never). Sort of like my static BattleTech designs (which I hopefully won't have to touch ever again). I guess only time will tell, but I've got a little time to spare. I'm gonna have to set up some sort of temporary site for The PIT though.. Hmm.. how should I do that..
Hey.. I didn't notice (perhaps because I never checked) that Laz's little page on Tenshi had these pictures. Alright, I noticed the pictures before, but I didn't notice that they switched when you went over them with the mouse (I wonder why I hadn't noticed them before). What surprised me was that when I first saw those images, I thought that they were actually water coloured paintings or made of tiles (there's one that looks tiled). To my surprise, those images were actually made from photographs and modified to look hand drawn. Well done! Had me completely fooled.
Alright, I didn't get too much done today. Missed on TP's defence, from what I heard had quite a bit of finger pointing (in my direction). Hmm.. I didn't hear any word about that from anyone else though..
Apart from that, not too much interesting today. Went to the final CTRL-A meeting for the term, and went out for dinner. That's about it. Then there was this work on the page, and.. well, my life today has been summed up pretty quick. Boy, doesn't that suck? You can write your life experiences down in a paragraph or two. Do I feel productive.
Maybe I should do something interesting..
Nah, too tired. Go home.. sleep..
