I was able to wake up this morning. I was surprised to find out that I might actually make it to school in time for rec skating. It was pretty wet today. More wet than yesterday. I don't think it's stopped raining at all yet, although the rain isn't coming down that hard..
I actually did go skating today, although I wasn't particularly in the mood. I need the exercise, and some practise as well. Still, I was able to convince myself to go late, after updating this page a bit. It was a little shocking though when I saw the number of people at the rink despite the time. I guess everyone goes skating on rainy days or something? I would've thought that other things were done..
Anyhoo, I found out how much my skating abilities have suffered from lack of practise. The sheer number of people also made it difficult to find space to do anything except go forward and hope nobody threw themselves in front of me. I don't mind skating with people, but I would rather prefer to skate by myself, and ideally be the only skater on the ice. (So I don't make a fool of myself in front of people.) Oh well, I'll take whatever ice time I can get.
The workout was fairly good. Not as tired as I hoped I would be, but heck, I wasn't really pushing. The weather today was unnaturally warm, which added to the rain, made my winter coat an uncomfortable nuisance. I wonder if mother nature will make up her mind with winter yet..
I had left my blades at school on Friday night because of the rain and had hoped to bring them back yesterday. I don't think I'll be able to bring them back tonight because of the rain. How unfortunate.
Seems like Laz and MJO have both updated their pages. Laz's comments on Quake: Arena reminded me of how much multiplaying madness I've missed out over the past few years.. I used to be fairly competent in FPS games, but I've gotten quite rusty, and my little duel with HNT a couple of days back showed how badly I play now (I didn't kill him, even once!). Ah, that might be a good sign though, I'm not wasting time on these frivolous pursuits and fanciful notions of becoming a FPS god, but what have I been spending my time doing? To be honest, I don't know.
Perhaps this is my hobby? This is where all my extra time and effort is funnelled to produce something.. different? Well, I guess it isn't really different, and there's nothing here that really sticks out. It's all been done before (and better I might add). I don't know.. it's hard to understand.
Well, it's dark, and it's windy, and it's still raining, and I should get going. I guess I didn't get that much done today. How unfortunate.
