[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Geez, I hate it when I keep forgetting to update the dates..

Been busy with scripts.. see if you can finger Laz..

There are those days that I think I get up early, but when I look at the clock, it's already eleven. I really can't figure it out.

From the three loaves of bread that I had at the beginning of the week, I'm down to two. This involved eating sandwiches every day, and having a bready breakfast this morning. I can imagine how much bread we must have went through when we were in high school, with sandwiches nearly every day. (Mmm.. butter sandwiches..)

The sandwich I made for lunch today was destined never to be, since we went out to Subway for, guess what? A sub! Surprise, surprise. I don't mind eating subs, but after the year of campus food (first year), I remember having subs virtually every night. They were good, they were huge, and they were a good deal, but every night? Guh, the stomach remembers these things, and tends to remind you when your brain forgets. Next time we're going to Mel's or something.

I sent out another call for signatures today, but came up with bupkus. This meant that I had to take the money for the floats out of my account again. I was pretty lucky since I waited until the very last minute before going to the bank. When I got there, the lineup was HUGE! One of the tellers told me that a couple people were sick, so they were a little undermanned. Had I stayed in line, I would've had to wait at least half an hour (which would've made me forty-five minutes late.. This thing about coin orders is that you take precedence, so I was able to pick up the coin order, and cash in the cheque that I got from Future Shop for Homeworld! Woo woo! I'm rich!!

Well, not really.

Fortunately, I was able to make it to the show without a hitch, and my services weren't really needed yet, which gave me time to set up the floats and clean things up before the show started. I was hoping JI would show up, but I guess that didn't seem to be the case, the night's not over yet, but it's quite unlikely though..

During one of the breaks, I found an Imprint sitting on one of the tables so I flipped through it. I ended up on the campus rec section and noticed a little column for competitive broomball. It had the standard blase commentary about the term, but I love their comment on the final game:

"Both teams must be commended for playing great, and to the Penguins for holding their opponents to only a 4-0 win."

I found that rather entertaining.

The show's been fairly good so far. Most of our heavy hitters are tomorrow, but we have finished off Nadesico. It was a fairly good ending, although holy loose ends Batman! (Yurika also mentions that in the closing narration) The movie is tomorrow, so we'll see what happens then. We also showed Macross Special, which is basically the first two episodes of Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. Boy was it old, but the animation was still okay, and for it's time, the artwork and animation was truly amazing, especially for a TV series.

Revolutionary Girl Utena has always been shocking with it's suggestive tones and hidden messages. But one thing that caught me off guard, was during a conversation between two kids, an elementary school boy, who wants the affections of an older (high school) girl, and another girl around his age. Well, the boy was making lunch for his crush and the girl was telling him.. Why bother? She'll just eat it and leave sorta deal and then he said that he'd be happy just to have her eat anything of his.

I didn't catch it, but someone in the audience did. He started laughing. Then the girl blushed and said "That's perverted!" and the boy asked her what she was talking about. She didn't explain, except to say that he'll find out when he gets older. Holy crap, I wonder how many people in the audience caught that.

Yeah, Utena is a strange one, but surprisingly entertaining.

Should go back, X should be over soon. I've seen it already, and although the animation and artwork is amazing, I didn't really like the ending all too much. Too bad I'll be just in time to see the last few minutes. Ah well.
