[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

You know, pecan pie may not be that good for you, but boy is it ever filling, especially in the morning.. *burp*

The sun was deceptively warm today. I got out of the house and nearly fffroze my aaaass offf.. It was a nice day though, even though it was a little colder than anticipated.

On my way to school, right after I beat the train crossing the tracks, I got passed on ring road by a car. Guess who was in the car? CK and ADK! CK yelled out of the window.. something (I couldn't make it out at the time). They were going to the same place I was so I caught up with them and asked what exactly he said on the road. He told me:

"Maniacs on rollerblades!"

Ahh.. and for a minute there I thought he actually said something bad.

The geeks without pants found an interesting article on ZDNet. Man.. memories of Star Wars..

"Help me Obi-Wan, you're my only hope.."

So go check it out already!

Hmm.. for those of you with a fast connection, you may want to check out ICraveTV.

It seems as if the upgrade is going to take a little longer then even I had anticipated.

Thank you for your patience during this upgrade. We have completed the major components of this upgrade, though the following tasks are still underway (and are expected to be complete by Tues 14 Dec):

Tuesday? Gah! Hope I don't forget all of the changes that I'm planning over the course of the next couple of days..

After a bit of thinking, I got around to writing up a script that randomized my sig file each time I open up pine. Not very fancy, and I still haven't figured out a way to produce a random sig for each message I mail out, but here's a famous quote I found while testing:

"If anything can go wrong, it will." -- Edsel Murphy

Edsel? Whatever. These list of quotes I stole from the cookies that they had on Sciborg. I could've sworn that there was also another set of quotes named "fortune" but I can't seem to find them anymore.

Hmm.. gives me an idea to put together a script that will update my .sig file each day (so I won't have to fix it manually..). Man, the possibilities are endless!

So it seems like Laz has fully moved over to the new machine. Even fooled me for a while there with the "it looks like a directory index" page (I wonder how long that's been up?). We'll see if he actually has time to update his page daily now..

Oh yeah, been reading some of Laz's older entries (since there's actually a finite number of entries as opposed to mine.. I'm such a garrulous boy). Some interesting stuff in there. Many of those earlier entries are much more.. expressive than his more recent ones. Then again, it could've been in the presentation..

I dunno, I guess as people keep doing something, they tend to become repetitive. I mean, look at all of this tripe. Every now and then something interesting happens, but in the grand scheme of things, I've basically proven (using this year as a yardstick) there's very little excitement in my life. At least from the stuff that I willingly talk about.. no no, there are no Chinese sex slaves hidden under my desk..

<- checks anyway.

That's probably why I don't sift through my old stuff. Then there's the sheer volume.. You'd wonder how I'd be able to find anything in this jungle of observations, but somehow I do. When something pops up that I remember talking about I always go through a search and end up finding what I'm looking for in this mess. I guess that part of this site is coming in handy. I always needed a brain that could actually remember stuff. Now all I have to do is to convince my committee to give me access to my page during my defence..

I was gonna start talking about girls and stuff, but eh, I should be going home. Maybe another time. I'm going now.
