Watched the television most of last night. Finally got to see the Shawshank Redemption (albeit out of order). Quite a good movie. I was impressed. Also saw King of the Hill, and loved the banter just before they go hunting:
Bobby: Today, I'm gonna leave as a boy and come back a man.
Khan Jr.: You're lucky. I'm gonna leave as a girl and come back a man.
I was laughing for the longest time after that one.

Finally got my date and time thing working. The graphics seem to be fine, and I'm pretty happy with the way the thing came out (much like the message boards in subway terminals). Now all I have to do is to figure out how to make the darned thing scroll..
A scrolling date you ask? No, no.. I want it to display a message of the day or have it modifiable by visitors to leave messages for other people who might come by.. (Like MJO dropping a comment off to Laz.. I dunno.) I've got quite a ways to go, so don't expect anything anytime soon.
weirDo suggested that I set up some sort of search engine for the Journal. I remember starting this a few months ago and dropped it because of security reasons.. but now that I know more, I might actually be able to do something. That and possibly revive the finger script (which is currently sitting idle somewhere).
Finished off my pecan pie, and my bread, and my milk. Well, to be honest, I finished my bread last week sometime.. like Thursday, and finished the pie and milk this morning. Yup, pecan pie for breakfast. Again. *nod*
Okay, so not the most original meal, but I really did need to get rid of it (it's been in the fridge for more than two weeks now..). Anyhoo, I've been wondering if I could go through the next couple of weeks without having to go grocery shopping. I think I might be able to pull it off. I've got tons of food in the freezer, so this may be a good time to start making some space up there huh?
Oh yeah! Went surfing around and came across this page which had the answer to my clock. It's small, although it's a little server intensive. Of course, I can have it update every minute as opposed to every second..
Anyhoo, if you want to check it out, you can go here. It won't stay there for long, and I still have to decide whether I'm gonna keep it or not.. What do you guys think? Should I bother having this little novelty?
Well, I should get going now. Got some other ideas for things to add.. man, it never ends does it?
