[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

The anime thing last night went fairly well. Less people showed up earlier than I had expected, but more people showed up overall than I had expected. Laz didn't show up however.. which was rather unfortunate, since I stretched out Nadesico as much as I could before showing Escaflone. The group tended to like Cowboy Bebop, so I'll have to get more next time. I need to get my hands on Utena and Berserk as well somehow..

Last night, my dad asked me about QoS . What a coincidence. I've been meaning to talk to her but I haven't been able to contact her yet. Eh, we'll see.

Found out today that MJO was coming to town! The bad news is that he'll be arriving after New Year's.. around the time I was planning to go back to Waterloo..

Decisions, decisions..

We had planned to go hiking today, but we took a little detour to Kitchener to pick up something.. I tagged along since I figured that I can drop off some stuff at the house. Well, I was lead a little astray, since I was driving, and I drove us into Kitchener. Then, following the directions, I realized that we were going further and further away from the city.. until we ended up in Cambridge. Gah. That was a waste of gas.

Oh well, I did end up going back home, and I was able to update my books, write down the Chinese Remainder Theorem Corollary that I was so proud of in first year (I sifted through my first year notes and happened to find them.. it doesn't seem as grand as I thought it did back then, but heck, I'm gonna write it down for posterity anyway).

I was also able to install my new Dual Wheel mouse, and wanted to try it on Homeworld. Unfortunately, HNT had locked his door and I wasn't able to get my CD! Rats. I guess I'll try it out when I go back in the new year.

On the way back, girl asked me if I could guess how long those highway dashes were. I guessed around three feet. She told me that they were nine feet. Nine! Oh man, was I far off. Go check them out for yourself! (Just don't get hit by a car when you're doing that.)

As it was getting late, we never did go hiking today. We did go skating at the Scarborough Town Centre. The weather was also very good for skating as it wasn't too windy down there, nor was it too cold.

After that exercise, we went looking for skate guards, and I went looking for new brake pads for my blades. Came up with bupkus. Decided to go home.

At that point, I finally got through to Squishy's place and found out that DWC was in, so I told him that I would drop off something for Squishy. Well, this little detour would only take an hour, but it was as good a time as any (and I had been trying to reach the girl for over two hours).

We got there without a hitch, and girl wanted to go in and see the place. Squishy had just come in, so I was lucky enough to give her her present in person, although the present really was some CD's she lent to me a few years ago that I'm finally returning. She was happy about it though, and we talked for a while. She remembered girl's name, since I introduced her as my sister and she said:

"You must be [girl]."

That girl has an amazing memory.. and a nice new haircut too! (Although, just about any haircut looks nice on her..) She told me that I was squishy because of the new coat that I got. I found that funny.

Anyway, we didn't stay long, talked for a few minutes and took a couple of pictures (finished off my roll! I gotta go and develop it tomorrow).

As we were leaving, girl commented on how nice the apartment was, and how cheap it was for an apartment in Toronto, and how nice the neighbourhood was, and how many shops were around:

"..like the Play It Again Sports Store.. the Play It Again Sports Store!"

We hurried on in and looked around for the guards and the brake pad. We found the guards no problem, but when I asked about the brake pads, they asked me what kind of inline skates I had. Err.. Rollerblades.. Viablade I think. Then they told me that there were different types of Viablade Rollerblades, and that they used different types of pads! Gah! After a bit of fiddling around, I found out that the type of pad that I needed wasn't in stock. Oh well, I guess I'll have to check tomorrow..

After that stop, girl kept going on and on as to how nice the area is.. I wonder if Squishy would find that funny?

Speaking of Squishy, girl doesn't know who Laz or Werdna referred to! Hee hee.. I guess she'll know who Squishy is now.. oh well.

Now I've gotta eat. Need to talk to a couple of people, and that's about it. I wonder how tomorrow will turn out..
