[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

So the Yankees swept the Braves. Saw the tail end of that when I went to Front Row (also found out that the Leafs won another shutout - Healy this time). Well, another incredible year for the Yankees..

Laz and Growly have both updated their .plans. Laz has two which I've seen before, but you might be interested in the scientists in search of the glowing Christmas tree (the mouse is freaky), and Mr. T vs Half-Life (which I saw in February after checking out Laz's link to Mr. T vs Hackers). As Laz mentioned:

"it's gonna get ya, suckah!"

Growly has a rather long one (.plan that is):

Here's yet another (inadvertent) Heinlein-related .plan entry:

Contrary to popular belief, ownership by individuals of extraterrestrial properties is not forbidden. The 1967 UN Outer Space Treaty stipulates that no government can own extraterrestrial property, but it neglected to mention individuals or corporations. In 1984, the UN attempted to plug this loophole (which they where very aware of), by introducing the ill-fated Moon Treaty. That treaty forbids the exploitation of extraterrestrial resources (which includes ownership) for anyone, also individuals and corporations. The only problem is, that when it was up for vote, out of 185 UN Member Nations, only six supported it. The vast majority of Member States refused to sign it and did not sign it. It makes sense too. Imagine if we >>FIND OIL ON THE MOON<< for example. Should we prohibit its exploitation for the entire human race by law? Surely not.

which reminds me of the RAH story "The Man Who Sold The Moon" -- although I'd think Delos D. Harriman would have had the education to realize why they call "oil" a fossil fuel...

Oi, the moment I turn my back, Laz has already updated his .plan (again).

Ultima 9... i need say no more (link to a 300meg (!) demo):

Can't wait until the game comes out!

Anyhoo, been thinking, after having relative sizes for page widths, and starting off with absolute widths.. do you think I should have a page with an absolute or relative width? The other question is, what absolute or relative width? 640 pixels sounds good.. but I have no idea of the best way to implement it..

Started printing out pages for my poster. The hardest part is to convert my slides into English so that I can actually put them up (since I doubt anyone would be able to decipher my point form comments). Then there's the results..

I've got some, don't worry. Still, there's always more stuff I could do..

Speaking of more stuff, I was told by EL that I had to come up with some results for MgH for next week. Oh good. Let's see if I can finish this poster first before I start worrying about MgH. I've already got some data for that, but I have some playing around to do before I can complete that work.. I don't know if I'll have the time next week to do it. Let me see.. come back Wednesday, but have broomball and skating, so I only have Thursday, and since the conference starts on Friday.. Ha! Whatever.

I think I'll need some sleep after this week.

Oh yeah, then there's the CTRL-A show..
