[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

I should have mentioned last night that I was horrible in the game. Had it not been for the fact Grover was amazing in net, and the rest of the team picked up on my slack, we might have had a much closer game.

Also, I finally finished all of the spaghetti that I had left over from frosh week. Man, that took a long time.

I was planning to go to the rink today. The free time was from noon until two, so I figured that I had tons of time to wake up and get ready to go. When I checked my clock this morning, it read 11:57.

*groan*

There goes my exercise. I still got up though, and I made it to school a little past one. I made it to the rink around quarter after, and considering that each skating period is cut short ten minutes to flood the ice, I had a whole thirty minutes on the ice. Not exactly a long and invigorating workout. Still, I wasn't feeling particularly awake today, so I don't think I would've made through all two hours had I actually come on time. Found out that I was in need of a lot more practise with some of my turns.. gah.

On my way to the rink, I noticed a rather large flock of birds on one of the medians. I think they were sparrows, and I'd hazard a guess that there were a few hundred of them. On my way back from skating, the flock was sitting around in the field next to MC. I was rather amazed at how large the group of birds were. What amazed me more was how they were able to stick together in group even when they were startled and flew for several seconds. The entire flock moved as one, and even when they got split up (when one group goes one way and the rest go in another) they somehow were able to get back together and form the entire flock again. I also noticed that when the birds had landed, they got really noisy, and the moment they took to the air as a group, they were incredibly silent. I stood there, transfixed for a few minutes. I'm no bird watcher, but it was a pretty kewl sight.

Phoned into Future Shop and found out that they were selling the Logitech Mouseman Cordless Wheel Mouse there for a hundred bucks. Ow. The guy I ended up talking to tried pushing the Microsoft Intellimouse (which uses the infrared beam thing) for also a hundred bucks. Ow. I've tried those mice before, and I always have a bad tendency of leaving the pad.. I think I'll look for the EverGlide first.

Did a bit more searching for people on the net. Found some info on DH, but came up with diddly on most other people. Gah.

Went by JH's page and read his html-rant. I liked it, although I still am a little annoyed at anyone using frames. The best way to use frames is to not to use them at all, or, to make them so that it doesn't seem like you're actually using frames (like makeup). Anyway, his page is recently updated, so it might be changing a bit sometime soon..

Doh! There are times when using UNIX that I would like to have that instant undo folder (also known as the recycle bin). Instead of typing in

rm G0000e.*

I hacked out

rm G0000e *

Which then proceeded to remove everything in that directory. So glad there's recover..

Quite a bit to do with this and that.. I doubt I'll be playing any games tonight.. which would actually be a good thing. Being productive is always a bonus. I've got two large e-mail messages to respond to tomorrow, I hope they don't think I've forgotten about them! I'll be really busy next week with the conferences (two of them!) looming.. I have to get this program up and running ASAP.

Right now, I'm hungry, so I will satiate my desires.. Mmm.. food..
