FlyingS sent over a couple of links to a couple of images. The first one was a Halloween related picture (RK anyone?), while the second one was by Ian. It's a picture of Emiko and apparently he didn't like it too much. I think it's kinda cute, but what do I know?

Jake brought his friends over on Sunday to sleep for the night it wasn't too much of a problem, since they went out and came back late. Mind you, I did end up playing Brood War until late last night trying to finish that last mission. Guess what? I did! It was also the last mission! Yay! Finally finished that darned game.. Of course, it was three in the morning, and I was completely wide awake. Took me another hour or so to fall asleep (I could hear our guests snoring outside) so that would probably explain why I felt so tired this morning.

I actually got in around the usual (late) time this morning. Continued working on the fits I did this weekend with little progress, before I knew it, lunch was upon us (with prodding from the dungeon below) so we set off to the Math C&D for some grub.

After coming back to the lab, I thought I saw someone familiar in the water room, so I went back to check. Laz complained about the lack of girl talk here, so I'll throw some in to make up for that. Anyway, I called out her name, and she turned around. It was who I thought it was, so I talked with her for a few minutes while she was finishing up with the water.

I remembered her from frosh week, and the first thing I noticed about her were her eyes. She has these amazingly large eyes.. it's rather.. well, they seem large, and every time I look at her, it seems like she's staring directly into my eyes.. searching for something? I had to advert my gaze every now and then since I'm so not used to staring into someone else's eyes. I guess I find it too.. personal? Mind you, it's not like I've haven't stared for minutes into someone else's eyes (ah, QoS) but for a casual acquaintance.. or especially a complete stranger, it's a little.. disconcerting.

Well, every time I talked with her, I would have trouble looking directly at her, knowing that she'd be looking at me. Can she see what I'm thinking? Hmm.. I think I have a tendency of not looking at a person directly when I talk to them. I would look here, there, and around, but I don't feel comfortable staring unless I'm really interested in the person. I don't know why, and when people look at me, I get so self conscious.. "Is there something wrong with me?", "Do I smell funny?", "There's a zit on my nose isn't there?".

She's a nice girl. Perhaps it's just her, I don't usually feel this uncomfortable with other people. It's just her eyes.. they're so piercing..

Next time, I'm gonna find out if I can look at her directly. I won't push it though, since some things take time.

Went to the CTRL-A meeting and went out to dinner at Philthy's which wasn't that bad actually. I wasn't particularly hungry, so I couldn't finish my fish and chips (after my share of the nachos). After a bit of wrangling, a number of us ended up walking back home. On the way back, I bumped into Renee. What a coincidence! Talked to her for a bit before coming back here, and now I'm continuing some work on LiH and MgH. Progress is slow. Painfully slow. Ah well, here's to hoping.

Here's an interesting link that I got from the ShackNews. Another interesting article they had today was about the little Half-Life: OpFor goof up that Family PC put up. The stuff people say these days..

Saw on ZDNet an article on Motorola's new Palm processor. The name was the only thing that caught my attention, I hadn't known that they called it the Dragonball.
