[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Oh yeah, I found out what TY did.. this is gonna be interesting.. Oh yeah, our cable's back up in the house, so I was happily watching various shows last night before going to bed.

Ah ha! weirDo just told me something. When Sparky was talking about joining a frat, I remembered that frats were associated with men (although some - like weirDo - would say "boys") while another word was used for female fraternities. I couldn't remember what the word was.. sobriety? Sosomethingity? I couldn't remember. Well, the word is..

*drum roll*

Sorority! Woo hoo! You can webster that yourself if you want.

I felt a little overwhemed with all the things that were happening yesterday, which would explain the rather lackluster attempt at making any sense of the events that conspired yesterday. Still, I don't really care as long as I can look back at all of this and gain some sort of understanding of the past. If all else fails, I can always rewrite it, but I'm too lazy.

From the anime (sorta) front, I got the heads up from JCC and the link from FlyingS that Batman Beyond has been canceled! I personally haven't seen any of that series so I don't know what I'm missing, but apparently it was a good show.

Just got word from Jean-Guy that Hobbes will be in town next month! Now all we have to do is to convince him to stick around for our next broomball game..

I got a forward a while ago with a list of those common phrases where words are replaced by the first letter of the word and every phrase starts with a number like:

12 - M in a Y

Which expands to:

12 Months in a Year

Anyway, after a week or so, there is only one saying that we couldn't get (we amazingly got the house of representatives, and the declaration of independence ones):

20 - Y that R V W S

Any ideas?

I put up those pictures I scanned to be reviewed by the people who were actually present in the photographs. The current response has been fairly positive so I might be sticking them up soon. While I'm on this topic, Riston came by and checked out my caption for the CTRL-A broomball picture and had this complaint:

".. but I take issue with you calling Rog my second best player -- clearly I was the second best player!"

All I had to say to that was that the exact quote is:

"arguably Riston's second best player"

Since Rog would definitely argue that he's the second best player on the team, this is a true statement no? (Although since Rog is not here anymore, Riston is definitely the second best player on the team. Hell, since Mr. Broomball isn't here, he's arguably the best person on the team right now!)

On the topic of updates, both Laz and KGL have little updates on their respective sites. So see what they've been up to. FlyingS also has some sort of update on his page, although he seems to have lost all hope of renovating his page. Now that I've actually linked his page, I think he'll have more incentive to provide some sort of cool entertainment for the hordes of people who will now be rushing to visit his site! (A horde being three people, since three's a crowd, and crowd is a synonym of horde.)

Or maybe not. Next up should be KNZ. Man, I've got so many people in the University links, I might set up a separate page for CTRL-A links.. Hmm..

On the United States front, both Tiffi and Sparky have been busy explaining what they're planning for the spring break! Since they plan to head to Canada during their week long venture (I don't know why, most of the people up here are heading to warmer and sunnier locales) we should give them some (touristy) points of interest!

Umm.. err.. ahh..

To be honest, apart from the usual propagandish touristy places you can read in a pamphlet (like the Skydome, CN Tower, Air Canada Centre, Queens Quay, Royal Ontario Museum, Ontario Science Centre, etc.), I can't think of any good places in Toronto.. I usually just go back and veg (or skate, if the opportunity arises).

Anyway, I've got to wish those girls luck in their quest. I don't get a reading week to speak of, so I'm basically stuck at school. (*wah*) But that's all right, I do have a thesis to write..

..and labs to mark. Oh crap! I completely forgot about those. They're due tomorrow and I've got a broomball game to go to, which means I won't be back until..

*thinks*

Oi, this is gonna be a long night..
