[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

I remember as a kid, I always had trouble getting up on the weekdays for school, (Getting up at 8:30 was too early) but when the weekend came along, I was the first one out of bed, at 7 or 8 in the morning, and had my butt parked in front of the TV until noon. Weirdest thing happened today. I got up at 7:30 and I couldn't get back to sleep (I usually get up around 9). Rolled around for an hour or so, but figured that y body knew something that my mind (which was tired) didn't, so I got out of bed. Bizarre, it's like I've regressed to a younger age or something. Hopefully I'll still be awake for the broomball game tonight at 11 PM.

Found out that fudge isn't chocolate..

fudge n
(1766)
1: foolish nonsense -- often used interjectionally to express annoyance, disappointment, or disbelief
2: a soft creamy candy made typically of sugar, milk, butter, and flavoring

That was kinda strange since I've always associated fudge with chocolate although the proper definition doesn't make any mention of chocolate. That's probably why packages always say "chocolate fudge" instead of plain fudge, and the chocolate part just became connotatively associated with fudge.

In the kitchen, where ChuckL, Hazel and I were making/eating/cleaning breakfast, HNT comes on in and tells us that Werdna was coming to check out the house that afternoon. Okay, that's fine I thought. Then he tells us that he won't be in and we'll have to let him in. That was kinda funny seeing as I was planning on being at school for the day, and ChuckL and Hazel were going out. Had he told us earlier, he would've been able to tell HNT our plans so that he could arrange a better time with Werdna. Well, HNT goes off to e-mail Werdna about the change in time, and we go our separate ways.

Skating was pretty fun as usual. Started practicing the right inside three-turn. It wasn't that hard, but seeing as I already have the hang of the outside turn, the only difference is the edge that you start on. After the session, someone actually came up to me and asked if I had a special pair of skates (it took a while to figure out what she was saying). I told her that I had a pair of ordinary hockey skates. (And her kid pipes up "I have a pair like that too!") She was wondering since I was doing all those "fancy moves" on the ice, and thought that I needed special skates to do them. (Turns aren't fancy moves lady..)

Anyway, I came back to the office to update the page and do a bit of coding, and maybe even do a bit of reading. Guess what happened? Werdna dropped by. What the heck? Apparently he went to the house and no one was home, so he came by my office to see if I was in. Lucky him, had I gone shopping he'd be SOL. Great, seems like he took the bus, which meant that there was NO WAY he could've gotten the message from HNT to delay the meeting. (Will strangle HNT later.) Well, I have to entertain him for a few hours, but seeing as there isn't much to do here but surf, maybe, I can't see him staying awake very long.

We did go out to lunch at Mr. Panino's. It's a sandwich store that just opened up in the University Plaza. Food wasn't bad, and it was well priced. What caught my attention was the help wanted long winded poster thing that they had at the front. I hope this helps Renee..

Oh, got this from HaremPresident's sig:

WIN: So how was your first night? Peaceful?
MULDER: Oh, it was wonderful. We just spooned up and fell asleep like little baby cats. Isn't that right, honeybunch?
SCULLY: That's right, Poopyhead.

X-Files, Arcadia

That was a funny episode.

[4:00 PM EST - After broomball.]

Well, Werdna will be staying the night at our place. Fortunately one of the couches in the living room (which no one uses) turns into a bed. HNT came back around 8 PM or so, so he entertained Werdna while I wasted away playing Unreal. They were supposed to come to the game to watch (crazy people) but then JCC called and they went to watch a late movie.. the new Clint Eastwood one.. something like True Crime.

The broomball game went well, although we were all quite tired by the end, I had soooo many chances, about 4-5 good scoring chances, but I didn't get anything in. We did win 1-0 tho, but it was a hard earned goal. Well, everyone has gone to McGinnis Front Row, so I should get going too..
