Although technically it is Friday, it's only a couple of minutes into the day..
Well, I forgot to mention that, the main reason for me to visit Dr. Fisher on Wednesday was to check to see if he had any extra 100ml graduated cylinders that I could steal. Fortunately for me, he had a nice stock of extra glassware which I could choose from. What a nice guy huh? I brought it home and gave it to Hazel, now she could do whatever she wants with it..
I also fell pretty hard during skating that day. When I woke up today, my left wrist and upper arm felt really sore and a tad painful.. I really should relearn how to break-fall.. It's feeling better now, but I don't want to aggravate my wound with any repetitive strain injuries or anything..
One of my students had a problem with the marking for the Spec assignment. She did pretty well, except for the fact that she didn't put down her section number. That cost her three marks (out of ten). So, she had a nice long discussion with Dr. Fisher to try to straighten things out, but the problem is, this section thing was mentioned in class and it's a pretty set rule.. I kinda felt sorry for her, cuz it was pretty obvious she was trying not to cry. Oh well, she'll survive.
Talk? Yeah, poor audience (as in I felt sorry for them). I've been working on my presentation for the past little while. It's going to be basically a trial run for the talk that I'm going to give at Columbus. I'm feeling much more confident right now, I just hope people will understand the work that I've been doing for the past few months..
Had our last volleyball game tonight. It's too bad a couple of people weren't able to make it, but it was pretty fun all in all (it was basically CTRL-A vs. CTRL-A). Had dinner afterward, and I got dropped off back here pretty late, which explains why I'm doing this stuff right now. I've got two to three more slides that I have to work on for my talk, but I want to check them over before I make them so I think I'm gonna head home now.. I'm really getting tired..
