[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Good grief. A little lack of foresight last night. I forgot that I had to wake up early today for the CHEM 492 presentations, and I remembered (very late last night) that I had to do laundry. Seeing as I usually need considerable amount of sleep, I couldn't stay up to do laundry. Instead, I had to wash the clothes on Friday night (Saturday morning actually), and dry them when I woke up today. That was kinda tricky, but amazingly, I was woken up by Hazel's movements around the house (she had a midterm today) so I dragged myself out of bed to shove my laundry into the dryer. Whew!

I actually made it in time to watch the presentations from the beginning (I guess they started a little late). So I sat in on HaremPresident's talk which was okay (he got killed in the questions tho). LMC and Puma were there and even Devos was there too! (He graduated last spring) Well, right before the break, just before HaremPresident's talk ended, HaremPresident's sister (Joanne I think) came in. My guess was to sit in on HaremPresident's talk. Well, I chatted with her during the break for a bit while HaremPresident was groaning between his supervisor and another prof. Found out a lot of stuff, considering I didn't know ANYTHING about her, and corrected her when she thought I had a sister by the name of Michelle that went to Laurier. Anyway, she left after the break, which was too bad. I wanted to take a picture (I had my camera at the time - and she's kinda cute too, sorta looks like LC).

During the break, I went to get a drink from the staff lounge, and wanted to see how everyone else was doing. Unfortunately, I had spent most of the break talking with Joanne so most of the people had left already. I thought that I wouldn't get to talk to anyone until TW (Yeah, I thought it was TW, but I have to check to make sure) popped up in front of me! I was a little stunned that she said "Hi", so I started to babble and ask stupid questions. *sigh* That's what happens when I'm with a girl like that. Geez, I wanted to take a picture of her too (everyone was semi-formal so I thought it would be a good time to make memories) but she went off while I was still a little dazed. Gosh darned it.

Well, I sat in on the rest of the polymer talks (plus LMC's talk which was non-polymer related) and got some free food. (Domino's Pizza - yuck). Convinced Puma to let me take her picture (she never wears a skirt), but didn't get a chance to ask LMC. *grunt* After calling JCC to see what the heck was going on with the movie arrangements, we phoned up HNT (the computer guy) to pick us up from the school. In a last ditch attempt, I went back to the staff lounge to find TW, but the place was packed, and she was way off in the other side of the room so I didn't even bother.

That's too bad. On hindsight, I probably should've gone up to her. I guess that's for a parallel universe to find out.

After HNT picked us up, we went to watch Wing Commander (including the new Star Wars trailer) at Fairway. The trailer looked pretty kewl on the big screen. Yesiree.. The Wing Commander movie wasn't as good as I had hoped. It wasn't bad, but much of the.. "relationship element" seemed forced and unconvincing. I had a couple of gripes about the movie not being consistent with the game.. (Since when did Paladin have a French accent??!?) And the fact that they didn't get any of the original game cast into the movie. (Although using David Warner for Admiral Tolwyn was a very interesting idea.). Oh well, not worth full admission, but should still be seen on the big screen (a lot of eye candy).

Had lunch at the Tu Lane Restaurant #8 after that. This was a trucker stop that was moved away from the highway when the government built the new Highway 8 extension. Very good food, and since it was a trucker stop, they had HUGE portions. Quite a good feast for the money.

After lunch, we headed off to the Silver City to watch The Corruptor. This was a better movie than Wing Commander, and it was worth whatever the matinee movie cost was. If you want to save money, you can wait till the movie comes out on video..

Went to the Three Kreatens for dinner. I had broomball, so I didn't get anything to eat. The food looked very good however, although a little pricey. On the way to the restaurant, I got a ride with Caroline, who complained about HNT's driving. Namely the fact that he didn't use his lights to signal. On the way back from the restaurant, I got a ride with HNT, who complained that Caroline was a crazy driver. Namely the fact that she was aggressive when she shouldn't be and visa versa. I just thought that was funny.

Played broomball tonight, lost 3-1 to a pretty good team. Dang, we played pretty badly, so we should watch out for them in the playoffs. (I think Riston's team is to used to playing really bad teams or something).

Oh yeah, one more thing.. I think it was yesterday when one of weirDo's friends (I forgot his name) came in and told us a little story about having to rewrite an exam and the prof told him that he could write it

"at our mutual inconvenience"

That got a chuckle.

Anyway, that's enough for today. I'm gonna go to sleep now.
