Yeesh, another entry "the day after". Seems like my updates are getting later and later for some reason. Actually, there is a reason for this (funny enough), but let's start from the beginning..
Again, woke up early and went back to sleep. This time however, I actually got up earlier than yesterday, and had time to update my accounts (yeesh, I'm spending money left right and center - food mostly), and clean up some of my filing system. This time, I actually ate breakfast (cereal, since I didn't have time to cook) but.. I was still late (I had to be there for 11:30). Gosh darned it! Fortunately, the CTRL-A show still went on and they really didn't notice my absence (I think). Oh well, things actually went without a hitch, no one died, and no one was turned into a chipmunk. I consider that a good omen.
It's too bad I couldn't go out to dinner, but seeing as I did get some pork souvlaki (Yum!) I thought I would last through my two broomball games tonight. Well.. sometimes I think wrong, and other times I just don't think. Broomball was fun, these were competitive games, so the caliber of our opponents were generally higher than the run-of-the-mill co-rec team, but the skills on our team were very good (even though we're missing Mr. Broomball and Rog - arguably our two best players). It's too bad, but at least my helmet fit well with my new glasses (they didn't have to be bent out of shape to fit into the helmet). Anyway, to make a long story short, we won both of our games, 2-1 in OT (an ugly game), and 2-0 (a not so ugly game). I was definitely not on the ball today, that souvlaki was still in my stomach by the end of the second game. I made a lot of defensive errors, and I couldn't capitalize on my breaks. To top it all off, all my shots on net seemed to home in on the goalie's head. What kind of aim is that?? Well, hopefully I won't be eating too late next week. Our record now stands at two wins and one loss. Let's improve on that.
Well, let's see, start at 11:30, eight and a half hours of anime, an hour cleaning up, two hours of broomball, throw in some time in between, and yup, that will bring me to Sunday! Boy do I need sleep.
Another thing that I suddenly remembered. A few days ago, some guy tried to break into our house (HNT's house). Fortunately, Hazel was still home so she scared him off, but this incident (plus the fact that my bike got stolen from the "closed" garage) has prompted me to find a quick way to back up my hard drive (Considering that I have none ATM, any non-1.44 way is a quick way). A lot of that stuff is quite personal, I do NOT want to lose it. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to ask Dr. Fisher if he would kindly allow me to use his burner. But I might be able to do something down in Peter's lab.. hmm.
Seeing as I have a little time to finger people (eew you might say), I checked out Growly's .plan file. Growly has updated his .plan file recently to quote some long comment on the atomic bomb by Oppenheimer. I also recall bumping into him yesterday - on the way to get buns for the BBQ - and (conveniently forgot because) he mentioned that he came by my page and thought that it was "plain". Actually, I think he said "pretty plain". Well, you know what?? Of course this page is plain!! There's nothing on this thing except some odd ruminations and questionable comments. *sigh*
I also checked out Laz's .plan. Seems like Laz is starting to update his .plan file semi-regularly.. here's a quote from Feb 23 (the current one)

I actually checked out the Wing Commander movie homepage. I had some hopes that this movie was gonna be good.. we'll have to see, the effects look quite stunning, but I'm not sure how well the plot will hold up (the plots in the game are quite good however). This may be one of the few game to movie transitions that may actually work! The jury's still out, and won't decide until the movie makes it to theatres on March 14th (conveniently before the Phantom Menace Juggernaut hits theatres).
Ugh.. one last thing before I sign off. I've been having problems loading my site, not real major problems, actually, it's more of an annoyance. The first time I load the page, the text is quite large and very easy to read. Unfortunately, if I go to some pages and return using the back button, the text size shrinks. Course, it's still readable, but it's quite annoying. Any ideas?
Time to go to sleep.. maybe I should try to feed my upset stomach (I'm sooooooo hungry), but we'll see when I get home..
