[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Went back home again this weekend to pick up my new Sound Card and Video Card (See Feb 2nd).. Thus the rather sparse updates in the past couple of days. Everything has gone without a hitch so far. Even got the PS/2 adapter for my keyboard (the Abit BH6 only has PS/2 ports for the keyboard). Silly IMNSHO.

Friday night was interesting, I found out that Lionsmane (Who's homepage evades me ATM) called me on Wednesday after about a year of silence. Amazing! I called her back (seeing as I was in Waterloo) and finally got caught up on how she was doing. Pretty interesting life that kid.

Saturday, I found out that Chinese tradition allowed marriage between cousins as long as they had different last names. What the HECK??!? Well, maybe my mom is wrong, but do you see a problem with this? All I could say was.. "Yuck".

Maybe I mentioned this before, but the Government of Ontario must be up to something.. After a bit of traveling, I noticed that many of the highways weren't highways anymore. For example, Highway 25 near Milton is now county road 25, while parts of Highway 2 (which went from Sarnia to the Quebec border near Montreal) are now county roads.. This all seems to be a spending cut on the Province's part, since they won't have to upkeep the roads anymore (It's left to the county to keep them pothole-less). But it makes some highways look kind of silly when you look on the map. It's like a connect the dots, and try to figure out where the highway used to go. Silly silly silly..

The King of Jordan has passed away, may he rest in peace.

While shopping for groceries, I was reminded of a joke that was mentioned by Dr. Morrison (our 1st year Physics prof) which was related to him by one of his students. Well, first of all, you should probably understand that Waterloo has two Universities which are basically a block from each other (Pretty silly if you ask me). Anyway, Sir Wilfrid Laurier University is basically a business school, while the University of Waterloo is a much more Engineering/Science/Math oriented university. We have our differences and our little rivalry anyway..

A student gets into the 8 item or less line and unloads his groceries onto the track. The cashier counts nine items and asks the student:

"Do you go to Laurier and can't count, or do you go to Waterloo and can't read?"

I must admit that I can do neither.
