[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

More food gone to waste. I had some.. uhh.. noodle rolls (churng fun) that I brought back from home. I should've eaten them the first couple of days I was back, but I had a lot of leftovers and no time to make them for breakfast (Heck, I'd be getting in in the afternoon if I did!). Anyway, found some mold growing on it yesterday, and figured I could eat the non molded food. Today, it spread to other rolls, and after Hazel reminded me how bad our food poisoning was (See January), I decided not to risk it and dumped the whole thing. What a waste.

Of course, I did eat the eggs that expired in Feb 8th.. (oh well)

Well, I wandered off to the cove tonight, but I had to pick the day where Renee wasn't working. Well, I guess she's off on vacation like the rest of the undergrads around here (although she's also a grad, but that's just on a technicality). So I ended up spending a buck on Gauntlet: Legends. Somehow, the game doesn't seem as appealing anymore. Perhaps it's because of my new system at home.

Speaking of my new system, I figure I should put up some specs so that I can keep track of em for future reference. Anyway, I finished Half-Life: Day One a couple days ago and I'm finishing up Zipper Interactive's Recoil ATM. I must admit, although Recoil isn't the most exciting or thought provoking game, it's a fun little shoot em up that gets quite annoying near the end. Of course, I've been playing it for 3 days now and I'm just about done.. game playing time is around 7 hours (there's a timer in the game - like FF7) so it's not worth buying, but since it came with my MX300, I was pretty satisfied.

However, I was quite surprised that, while I was surfing to find Recoil, I found out that Zipper was going to be doing MechWarrior 3! Well, I think I might have read about it a long long time ago, but I completely forgot, and now I know (and knowing's half the battle).

I might as well mention this now, before I forget. Well, this has been bothering me every now and then. A few months ago, I watched a program that tried to unravel the secrets of the great flood (or biblical flood). And the most likely possibility that they arrived at was the flood of the Black Sea. I won't bore you with the details, but the general gist is that in ancient history, the Black Sea was really a freshwater lake. Today, the Black Sea is connected to the Mediterranean Sea via a little connection near Istanbul (not Constantinople). Therefore, sometime in between, there must've been some sort of event that caused the Black sea to join with the Mediterranean. That could have been the biblical flood. I was thinking, didn't the Mediterranean also become dry at times? I mean I heard (years ago mind you) that when they probed the depths of the Mediterranean, they found alternating layers of sand and salt, indicating that there were some dry spells. Of course, I don't know when these dry periods were (I haven't come across this information in years) so I would be wrong, but could the Mediterranean flood be the biblical flood?

Now that I've got that off my back, I should probably stop typing soon. My wrist hurts a little, probably because of falling to the ice so many times (Okay, so I did learn how to breakfall, but it's all gone now! I really need to practice). Hopefully, I'll make it back home in time to watch the rest of the final Leafs game at the Gardens.. should be interesting. (I'd better hurry!!)
