Well, another rather wet day has come and is going.
Gosh darned it, Win95 crashed on me and I lost most of my stuff.. ah, why rely on Microsoft anyway? What a pain..
Anyway, as I mentioned before (but got erased), the weather today has been wet, but hopefully tomorrow it will be a bit dryer and more sunny..
I didn't do much except for mark the labs for this week. The kids generally did well, which is more than what I could say about weirDo's students. He's still marking their labs, and it's quite entertaining listening to him complain about how.. umm.. uneducated they are.
GBC (the computer guy) has been itching to get a new computer for a while now. Specifically, he's got his eyes on a Power Macintosh G3. Having not touched a Mac since high school, I was a little skeptic, but GBC borrowed one of the G3's from the campus computer store and hooked it up to Old Sci's 21" colour monitor (Old Sci is pretty dead so I don't think it'll care too much). I must say, I was rather impressed, the G3 is quite fast and mostly reliable, add to that the fact that the Win95 emulator seems to work very smoothly, and it's a sure winner! The only problem that I have with this computer is the price. It's quite steep. Apart from that, if I had the money, I might actually pick one up myself!
Oh, I finally asked that blond girl for her name. (You remember, the one from December?) Anyway, her name is TW, and it's kind of a cute name for her. I wonder if it's short for something. I gotta ask later. She knew my name tho (seems like everyone does), apparently she's seen me "around". Funny, I don't recall seeing her much before (I don't forget cute faces). Hmm.. well, that just goes to show how effective my memory is.. Still, had a nice short talk with her.
Let's see, I'll try to keep a tally of the number of hits I get.. should be interesting to see how few people actually come here..
Well, hope this month goes better than the previous months. I want to get a lot of work done (and get a lot of sleep). I'll keep this one short.. I'm gonna go home now.
