[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

I'm definitely not in the working mood. Got most of my chores done, so I don't have to hang around here, but I really want to get some things done and over with. Namely the manual for the program I wrote for Dusty, and the Rb2 fits..

Bah, I guess some things are just not meant to be. While I was hanging around in the Chem Lounge (It was mostly empty, and it was fun distracting JAZ from studying) this girl came in and told us that the Math C&D was giving away food.. aww hell, I couldn't turn down free food, so JAZ, Mr. Myles, and I went off and carried back as much snacks and goodies that our grubby little hands could get a hold of (mostly the expensive stuff!!). Before I could dig in, there was this guy who was having problems with Windoze 95. It didn't load because his drive was full. This is normally not a problem except for the fact that he doesn't know how to use DOS. I figured that it would be easier to fix his problem myself than trying to explain to the neophyte. (I'm horrible when explaining something - don't you feel sorry for my students??) Anyway, the girl who informed us about the great grub giveaway was also in there, so I wanted to say something witty but blanked halfway. (Stupid brain!) Oh well, there goes the positive first impression. Later she came into the lounge where I had just finished up the last of my "Danish lemon raisin fritter" an ended up making fun of me. I never actually caught her name, but I thought that she was cute, and as usual, I tried not to act like a dork, and I think I failed worse than BSB's stat thermo class. Too bad, I left and drowned my sorrows by playing Gauntlet: Legends. Pretty pathetic huh? Well, next time I see her, I'll ask for her name and if she drinks coffee (even if I don't).

I should be going back home tomorrow after work, but I haven't been able to confirm this with GBC (who apparently went skiing in this godforsaken weather) so I should go about and set up some contingency plans..

Nahh..

Speaking of godforsaken weather, I think this is the first full day that we've had snow on the ground (and stay there!). Gives us the hope that we might actually have a white Christmas this year.. though I thought that it was rather bizarre that on the first day of winter after the warmest fall in record, we had an incredibly cold front come through and freeze all of our asses off down here. Like nature took all the cold from fall and plans to add it to what's expected to be the coldest winter in the books.. bah, who needs to know the weather here anyhow?

Sometimes I wonder why I'm still here, It's like I'm settling down or something even though I know that I'll be gone in a year's time. Perhaps it's the fact that I've been here for more than 5 years now.. boy how the time goes by. I really don't know what I'm going to do after this.. more school? Computer work? Move into the forest and live as a hermit??!? I would actually prefer the latter, but I'll need some funds first..

Anyway, before I go, I'd like to mention that a whole five people (three who were probably me) have come by this way since yesterday! Wow, I think that's more traffic I've had here than the past month! I'd love to stick in a Guestbook that people can sign, but I would have a feeling that the book would confirm that no one actually comes here. Bah, who needs visitors anyway?
