[12:00 PM EST - No subject.]

Where oh where has my whole day gone? Where oh where could it be??

Seems like the days are flying like minutes. Yeesh. Tried to work on my Spec assignment (due next week like everything else) but I was delayed and distracted a few times throughout the day. First of all, weirDo came in asking about this and that (of which I had little idea and even less recollection of the topic. Hmm.. but I did erase the potential that I had on the whiteboard. That was pretty short. (Oh, I remember, it was a discussion on why molecular hydrogen was used for his scattering calculations instead of other molecules!)

What did take a while was Cosmo's question from the CHEM 129 spectroscopy assignment. Apparently that student (and probably a few others) was having problems with a couple of questions on the assignment and he wanted to check to see what the answer was. Well, it took us half an hour or so to come up with a good explanation for the answer. Geez, with diagrams to boot!

Speaking of which, whatsherface (You know, I'm not even sure that's her name but that's what I heard from Cosmo so I assumed that he's right) finally caught me (doh!) not long after that discussion so I spent some time with her helping her with her spec assignment. I think she'll need some time to study cuz I don't think it really sank in too well, even with our funky diagrams!! Oh well, we did talk for a while after that, and found out that she was a Waterloo native! Yoiks! They're everywhere!! She really did remind me of ShadowWhyspr a lot.. how bizarre. (I wonder if there's any relation?)

Not long after that, weirDo came back in and had some questions about molecular hydrogen again, seeing as he was doing some calculations and they were coming up completely wrong. It took about half an hour, but we figured out that he left out a factor and it screwed up all of his calculations. Whoops!

Bumped into RHS who seemed to be having a LaTeX problem. Well, not exactly. The co-op student was having a LaTeX problem, but he couldn't figure it out. So I followed him down and spent an hour or so working with tables and stuff to try to get the formatting correct. In the end (after RHS had left), I finally gave up and used a brute force method of getting the job done. Not quite elegant, but when you're hungry, tired, and really should be doing something else, anything will be acceptable. I'll have to warn RHS about it tomorrow.

Finally made it back up to the lab to continue the assignment, although it was already 6 PM, and everyone had left (Well, Fred was around but he was leaving). Well, no sooner as I was leaving did I notice a message on the board from weirDo about a little errand (Give referral form to Mike) that we promised to do for Cosmo since he had already left. (Bastard! Why didn't he - weirDo - do it instead? Seeing as I was not in, and the form was right on Cosmo's desk..) Gah!!! Alright, it was on the way, so that was fine. Picked up the referral form, and trotted off to Mike's office. Lights on, no one home. Good.. Went looking. Took a few minutes but was directed to one of the labs and he was there. Finally. Gave him form. Figure I should go home and eat soon (missed out on lunch, weirDo ate lunch already). Still, after reading Lizard's little anecdote this morning, I wasn't particularly hungry for most of the day.

And now I'm here, updating my homepage. How quaint.

I still haven't worked on Laz's quiz yet. I was planning on throwing the question on the floor and getting everyone involved, but seeing as I was busy for the whole day, I wasn't able to. Will get to it tomorrow.

Oh, I won't be putting up Squishy's little story. Too bad, but I kinda prefer it this way!

On the way back home last night, came across a car with the following vanity plates:

HE DI4U

I won't even ask.

Finally got in touch with Stripes and got the address to his ("hardcore out-of-date") homepage and even found out about the place where we had played paintball last fall. Oh yeah, it was:

Woodlands Combat Adventure Games
40 Monte Carlo St
Kitchener, Ont CANADA
N2M 5L9
Ask for Dave
1 800 563 4389

We should be going again sometime this spring..

I've been meaning to put up some pictures that I promised to show people. Whoops. I guess I'll be working on that tomorrow then. Wow, more and more stuff to do, with less and less time to do it in.. such is life.
