What a wonderful day it was today. Hitting 20C and sunny to boot. Really sure feels like spring is here to stay. That and the fact this spring cold is killing me. Gah.
We (weirDo and I) finally got around to dropping by the grocery store (Food Basics in fact) to pick up some pop to restock the group pop stash. The only thing we've had the past week was diet Pepsi. Eww.. Course I don't drink that stuff. I was happy to get some iced tea. Mmm!
Got to talk to HNT about the water heater. I told him that he probably should clean it out, considering how hard our water is, it's probably half full of sludge, since the Co-op res apartments have their hot water tanks cleaned every year, and the amount of gunk that's built up in there is quite.. unappetizing. He told me that he bought a new 80 gallon (the old one was 50 gallons) hot water tank. Woo woo! Time to take those long hot showers! We'll have to see when he'll actually install the thing.
He also told me that ALee (the CTRL-A VP) was gonna look at the house. When ALee told me that he was interested in the place on Sunday during dinner, I thought he was joking. Well, it seems like he wasn't pulling my leg after all. Hopefully, the quote of $250 per month including utilities will hold. Any more would be criminal!
Got a little tidbit from Lizard, about her near-soap experiences at work. Quite an interesting story if you ask me. She was looking for advice, so I gave her some. Well.. I didn't say it was GOOD advice. In her response, she told me to remind her not to ever work in the same office as I was
"If I ever got the itch.."
Aww.. that's to bad. Lizard would be so easy to make fun of..
Today seems to be another "swamp QYV with mail" day. Even after deleting the CTRL-A e-mail, my inbox still doubled in size (this was on top of all that mail I left from the past few days). *groan*. Most of this stuff came from Magnifica, who went on a forwarding binge. Yoiks.. I got to really get down and clear it out soon. It also seems like everyone has responded to my e-mail. So I best get cracking with those responses..
Been working on my spec report. Making good headway, got most of the equations written out. Now all I have to do is fill in all of the text and add a few pretty pictures and I should be done. Of course, this thing isn't due until after the presentation for which I've done virtually no work on. Bah, I'll just make it up as I go along.
I better get going.. these coughs are starting to kill me..
