[12:25 AM EDT - Removing NS4.]

Ahh, that's better. NS4 should be a little more graceful when it comes to dealing with my page. Still looks like crap, but I think I know how to deal with that. Oh man, it's late already. Geez, how come coding takes so long?

[10:06 AM EDT - Clean shaven.]

Ahh, I forgot to mention that I shaved yesterday. It's nice to be able to see my own chin again! (I originally mistyped "chin again" as "china gain".)

Anyway, I went to our last regular ultimate game of the season and we won fairly handily this time. In a couple of weeks, the summer season will be over, and all of my fall activities will be starting up again..

[3:23 PM EDT - Speed is not covered.]

Ugh, I've been making too many changes to the scripts and not enough checking. Hopefully I haven't severely broken anything. I can't seem to get recreate that Laz issue, but then again, I've got a fat pipe here.

I checked into see what I was covered for chiropractic and otrhodontic benefits, and it seems as if I get a moderate amount of support. Let's see if I can correct my pronation huh?

[3:27 PM EDT - Badminton Gaits.]

I've got my gait assesment tonight as well as badminton. The first one of the season to less! Unfortunately, they conflict with each other so I'm not sure how much badminton I'll actually get in today.

Hopefully, I'll have enough time tonight go complete the NS4 degredation thing and clear up some of these hokey workarounds I threw in there for NS4. (Without breaking anything in the process. *knocks on wood*)

[10:02 PM EDT - Going transitional.]

Ah ha! I've realized that the 4.01 Transitional specs have been out for some time now, so I reset all of my pages to use that DOCTYPE. I've also been able to jiggle my scripts a bit so that they're 4.01 transitional and also work gracefully in NS4.

Hmm.. I've only got a few pages with issues now. Goody! I'm just wondering what I need to do to make these pages strict..

[10:25 PM EDT - Ultimate dress.]

I forgot to mention (I keep saying that don't I?) something from yesterday. After I got out of the car and started walking towards the field, I saw this car pull up in front of me to park. This lady stepped out and was wearing a nice black dress. I looked at her funny wondering why anyone would be so dressed up to go to a park, but she did look quite..

<- takes closer look.

Hey, it was CC! What the..? I don't think I've ever seen anyone on any of my ultimate teams dressed up in anything more formal than slacks and a sweater, so seeing a dress was like finding fish in the middle if the desert (or dessert). At least it was a conversation starter. (Although my ideas to use it to distract the other team were shot down. *shakes head*)

[11:05 PM EDT - Cars, and more cars.]

Hey, I've started looking at getting new cars again, but I really haven't had much time to invest in the search.

I've seen this article before, probably on the ShackNews, but I saw it posted on ArsTechnica so I figure I'll throw it up here since I'm talking about cars, but here's one more reason to pick up a Prius. It's such a geeky car isn't it? I'd pick one up if it wasn't so expensive and had manual transmission. It would be cool to drive, but I'm not out of my "sporty manual transmission" phase yet, so I'll probably get something sporty, play with it for a few years, and then switch to a hybrid once the technology becomes more mainstream (and the prices come down).

Speaking of sporty, I was looking at the 2003 Celica, since it's basically the modern day descendant of my AE92.

Hmm.. pricey, but all imports are. (Although not all imports are actually imported.)

Anyway, I'll keep researching.

[11:11 PM EDT - Pronate those gaits.]

I went to my final examination which includes the gait analysis (basically stepping on this plastic pad a few times). It basically showed what I already know, my feet are overpronated. The only way to solve it is to use orthodics (which I'm partially covered for in my health plan).

The other part of my visit was to go over my results and x-rays. Looking at the photographs, it seems as if my lower spine is okay, but my neck is straight. Straight is bad, I'm apparently leaning my head forward a few centimeters, probably because I keep looking down a lot. Anyway, it can be corrected, but I was quoted a duration of eight months. Eight months! Holy crap, and it's not all that cheap to boot.

Mind you, my group insurance also covers chiropractors, so it's not as bad as it could be. (It would be cheaper than my car - if you include all the maintenance I had to do to it.) So I do have a fair bit of leeway here. First thing's first though, I've got some othopedic insoles to get. Hopefully this should improve my running in long games, and espeically my badminton play.

[11:37 PM EDT - News Bytes: Heavy clouds.]

I'm doing my normal rounds on the ShackNews and came across an article about the penetration of broadband, the weight of clouds (I knew they were heavy, but I didn't think they were THAT heavy!)

Oh yeah, there's a Homeworld 2 demo out.

[11:42 PM EDT - Ready for an upgrade.]

Ah, it seems as I'm ready to upgrade one of my computers to XP. If that goes well, I'll probably try upgrading all (two) of my systems to XP. Actually, I'll probably be letting my mom use the weaker system for e-mail and web browsing. I'll just have to make sure that the proper security is set up on that system so that I don't end up infecting the network with a worm or anything else like that. *sigh*

Sucks to administer a network when you can't even trust your own LAN.
