[1:54 PM EDT - Debian Ice.]

Wow. I actually installed Debian on my P166. It seems to be running well. Too well. *rubs chin*

Actually, I just installed the basic OS just to see if I could do it. I wanted to do some sort of network install, but I chose the wrong server, so it didn't work all that well. At least next time I try I know who to pick. Anyway, I like the console switching ability, and it does seem to run fairly quickly. I may set up the server with Debian as well once I figure out how to get some of my packages working on it. Redhat is getting a bit too bloated for me. So once I've finished playing around with Debian on the P166, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I might set it up as a standalone FTP server still. Funny enough, I never actually installed an FTP server so that I can play around with it. I guess I'll have to find out how to do that huh?

The hockey game last night went well, but the other team only showed up with one sub. This is twice now! So the win we got seemed a little hollow.

[4:13 PM EDT - Playing with PuTTY.]

I've forgotten that I wanted to switch from using telnet to using ssh when connecting with the server. I finally got around to it now that I was playing with Debian. I found out that I had installed the ssh stuff on the server but never completed the setup and I'm finding it actually quite easy to use!

I'm using PuTTY to connect, and it seems to be good enough for me right now.

[10:10 PM EDT - Out of space.]

Oops, that was a newbie thing to do. I filled up my root partition trying to install all of those packages I wanted to test. Ah well, at least I learned some things about setting up packages. (I learned how to set them up.) All I have to do now is to repartition the hard drive (to place the logs in a seperate partition) and reinstall.

[11:34 PM EDT - Porkchop sandwiches!]

I found out who made that G.I. Joe spoof. Some guy by the name of Eric Fensler made a couple dozen of these redubs and you can check out his work here.
