[9:59 AM EDT - Godwin's Law.]

I was checking something up when I got pulled into trolling a thread and came across Godwin's Law.

[5:43 PM EDT - News Bytes: Database coincidence.]

Funny, just after I came across a thread invoking Godwin's Law, I came across an article (from ArsTechnica) on the restriction of information in databases that quotes Godwin himself!

While I was on ArsTechnica, I also came across a soapbox thread on North Korea. Unfortunately, it will only be accessable for a couple of weeks.

[7:37 PM EDT - A successful tournament.]

I'm back from the tournament. I got up early this morning, but got caught up reading a thread on using PARANOID in Debian's hosts.deny file that I ended up being fairly late for the first game. I had to stop off at SDM to grab some sunscreen since I started to burn yesterday. The weather was the same as the first day; Namely, warm and sunny. We did better though despite having half the number of players as yesterday.

We ended up winning our first game, losing our second, and winning by default on our third. Since the third game was a default, we had plenty of time to hang around, so most of us got together for a few holes of frisbee golf. This was my first attempt at the game and it was pretty fun! (I ended up par, although we made up par numbers and target objects.)

We ended up going through the water park at the park before heading out for dinner and ice cream.

[8:32 PM EDT - Dropped rear view.]

Oh, I knocked off my rear view mirror on the way to ultimate this morning. I hit my mirror when I brought my bag into the car and I had a lot of trouble reattaching it to the slot. Since I was in a rush, I tried forcing it on and hoped that it would stick. As I approached the field, it came off.

Have you ever tried driving without a rear view mirror? It's doable, but I rely on it a lot when I'm doing lane changes and it was quite scary having to rely only on the side mirrors for any lateral motion (or stopping - you can never trust other drivers).

Anyway, I didn't have time to fix it when I got to the park, so I left it as is. It wasn't until after we left the field when it fell off again and I had to fix it for good. It fell over before I had to merge into traffic from the middle lane (LY was behind me). I could see some of the oncoming traffic, and fortunately I could also see LY's car, so I was able to merge without any incidents. But I spent a good five minutes reattaching the thing after I had pulled over.

Hopefully it'll stay this time. *knocks on wood*

[10:52 PM EDT - Some final changes needed.]

I'm just about finished cleaning up the pictures pages. They validate and all I need to do is finish cleaning up the javascript and make sure I don't have any typos. I also plan to make the captions consistent, so that should be good too.

I got a lot of grass rashes on my arms and legs from skidding along the field from the past two days. My immune system must be going haywire trying to keep these foreign invaders at bay. *scratches*
