[12:30 AM EDT - Better badminton.]

Wow. I played with so much confidence today it wasn't funny. The shots I wanted to made were (mostly) made, and I always seemed to get to the birdie on time. It was wierd actually. I usually don't play like this. Most of the time I send the bird off into the unreachable "out" area or I miss by a few inches each time I lunge for the shuttlecock.

Maybe it was because they didn't give me a warmup. *rubs chin*

Anyway, I spent part of the night playing Homeworld 2. I'm on a really annoying mission which seems to defy any logical reason for me to continue trying. (Although I continue to try.) After the umpteenth time of replaying that mission, I finally pulled myself away to catch up on some bookkeeping. I've got some entries to fill in too. Hmm.. so much to do..

[12:46 AM EDT - CD pads.]

I'm not sure if it only happens in the rain, but my car has recently started flashing the handbrake light whenver I brake hard. Seeing as the handbrake currently doesn't even work, I was a little shocked the first time I saw the indicator turn on. Ah well, it's an old car. MS's old Celica used to turn on and off it's headlights whenever it started raining, so I'll just accept this and hope nothing more strange affects my jalopy.

Oh yeah, want to hear a secret? Well, apparently our bathroom doesn't need a lock. Do you know why? Because the door is so tight in the doorway that it doesn't close completely when you shut the door. I've stopped punching in the code now and just pushed the door open. Someone will notice eventually, but hey, it's only a washroom..

I came out of the building after work and saw this lady standing outside under the shelter waiting. I stood next to her and pondered my next move as I watched the rain fall from the sky. The woman turned over to look at me and said,

"Did you bring an umbrella?"

<- light bulb turns on.

Why yes I did! In fact, I came into the office with my umbrella on Friday and I had forgotten it at work. I had forgotten about it again today, but this lady reminded me with her comment. So I rushed up stairs, grabbed my (now bone dry) umbrella and bounded down the stairs, but the lady was gone by the time I had returned. Strange, it felt like I was playing some sort of role playing game with scripted events..

A point I'd like to bring up now that I'm driving a Corolla is the fact that I've seen a lot of Corollas on the road. Everytime I decide to focus on the car in front, it seems to be yet another Corolla. Man, it's a popular car.

Oh yeah, I picked up my orthodics today. I wasn't planning on picking it up until tomorrow, but I had time after work, and I was thinking of buying some CDs so.. why not? That girl was there and she greeted me by name. *looks shocked* Hmm.. maybe I should come in for a massage..

I was doing a little bit of searching on the internet for places to find a couple of CDs I was looking for and I came across a site that was having a sale! What luck! I called into make sure they were in stock (they were), and I headed down there after picking up my new insoles. I had checked out the store before but I couldn't find any, but this time I was armed with the knowledge that the computer said that the CDs were in..

When I got to the store, I went to the section and found the nameplate but no CDs. I got some help from one of the employees and he went to the back to look for them. They had none in stock, so I asked him to check the computer again. While he went to look, I wandered around and looked at some CDs in front of me. There they were, right before my eyes. The guy came back and told me that they had four in stock.

Yup.

<- pulls CD off of rack.

[9:53 AM EDT - Walking around in neutral.]

Hmm.. I've started wearing those orthodics and they don't feel that much different. It's like buying a new pair of shoes: They feel funny for a little while but then you get used to them.

I've been told to take it easy for the first week, wearing it an hour the first day, two hours the second day, etc. Also, I shouldn't be running around in them until I've got them on for a week or two. We'll see if this improves anything (or at least I hope it doesn't wreck anything).

Oh yeah, I've got one more entry to write up and I should be caught up. I've got a bit more shopping to do, some hair to cut, and laundry to do. So as long as I stay away from the computer, I should be okay..

[3:36 PM EDT - City Chase.]

Well, girl signed us up for that City Chase thing. It isn't cheap, but it should be interesting. Unfortuntately Pokey told me about a similar one she partook in this summer and she said that it wasn't good. Hopefully this one's better (seeing that it's going to be national and all).

[4:50 PM EDT - Birthdays galore!]

Hmm.. quite a number of people born around this time. Mind you, there were probably half a billion people born in this month, so I probably shouldn't be that surprised.

Anyway, I've got some stuff to pick up, some parties to organize, and some orthodics to take out. (I already put in my two hours today.)

[11:17 PM EDT - Picking up more stuff.]

Argh! I knew I forgot something! I picked up a game, browsed through cards, and wandered home, completely forgetting about my haircut! *looks in mirror*

Ah well, hopefully I'll have time on Friday to get it cropped.

[11:45 PM EDT - Old amps.]

I've fixed my old &'s and I've updated the parser to clean them up before inserting them into the database. (Well, they're flatfiles, but it will be a database eventually.) I still need to implement a spell checker. There's no point checking my old entries if I'm not cleaning out my new entries is there?

There are some interesting articles I came across, but I'm too tired to post them. I've been doing a little bit of planning and I think things are going to get interesting in the next few weeks. Busy too at that.

Okay, one entry to write. I should be able to write it up before I hit the sack. (I've been going to bed way too late of late and I want to get back into the "getting to bed early" mode.)
