[12:00 AM EDT - Nix Pee.]

Badminton last night went fairly well. We had a bigger turnout than last week, and I even played a bit better! (Probably because everyone else was so tired.)

I forgot to mention something I found in the washroom. We have a dispenser which I originally thought was for changing diapers for babies. (Which I found odd in an office building.) I didn't pay any attention to it until I saw some guy pull something out of it and wander into one of the stalls. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this dispenser was actually used to hold disposable toilet seat covers! I had seen one on one of the toilets before but I had no idea what it was doing there so I switched stalls.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try one and continued to rip it to shreds while trying to take out the perforated inner portion. The next time, I was able to cleanly separate the pieces only to have it float into the bowl as I tried to place it properly on the seat. Hey, it's harder than it looks okay? I did eventually get it right in the end.

Verdict? Hmm.. I dunno, but it gives a little sense of relief from the thought that your butt was now not in direct contact with a surface which has interacted with hundreds of butts just like yours. Unfortunately, you don't know where theirs have been..

I was in a quandry as to where to go for lunch today. I was off by my own so I had plenty of options. I was getting ready to go outside when I saw a poster on the door indicating that there was a BBQ on the upper deck. I remember theMediaman mentioning something like this a couple of months back, so I decided to try it out.

The food was acceptable and cheap. I must've been one of the last ones up there because when I went for a second hamburger, the guy gave me a second patty. Ugh, I was pretty stuffed by the end.

[10:20 AM EDT - Something Gooberish huh?]

We're supposed to get some pretty bad weather on Friday with Isabel arriving in the morning. We haven't had a hurricane hit us since Hazel. Isabel may be bolstered by a low pressure system on the way here, but I'm not too worried..

I'm going to have a bit of time tonight to do some computer cleanup, but I need to catch up on my first aid. I missed out last week's lesson and I have no idea what we'll be test on this week..

Hey.. I found someone's music collection. The tastes sort of match mine. Scary.

[12:04 PM EDT - How much do you want to sell it for?]

*blink* What the.. someone just asked me if I wanted to sell my AE92 after he found out that I was thinking of buying a new car.

Whoa.. he's seen my car hasn't he? Let me think about that.

[3:52 PM EDT - How about a Spec V?]

So yeah, while I was talking about getting a new car, MS suggested that I look at picking up a Spec V. *looks at specs* Hmm..

[9:41 PM EDT - Total of thirty.]

I still haven't finished cleaning up the smaller machines yet. Unfortunately I wanted to upgrade the OS but it's not letting me. This is annoying!

Ah, I threw Yavin's hard drive into my machine and now I've got 30GB to play around with. Ahh, I don't need any more extra space for a little while. (If you also consider the fact that I've uninstalled a lot of my games.) I should have plenty of space to tide me over for at least another year or two. In fact, my system should be able to handle the few games I want to try out (Homeworld 2 came out yesterday). Mind you, I want to hold off on getting any games since I don't have time to play them! I still need to go car shopping and my nights are spent on other pursuits which take up way too much of my "free" time.

First thing's first though. I need to get these computers up and running, and then I'll get a new car. (Although I may need to move up my car buying chore up a notch.) After that, I've got a project or twenty in the wings..

[11:00 PM EDT - News Bytes: Worse jobs?]

I got this link on the worst scientific jobs from ArsTechnica. Hmm.. postdoc huh? That was one of the reasons why I decided to bail after my three year master's. (Mind you, it was three good years. I know some people who've had much longer terms..)
