[12:05 AM EDT - This is why I make backups.]

Whoa. I nearly trashed my entire database. I was running a script which screwed up and doubled the size of all of my files. I then wrote a fix script which promptly zeroed out all of my files. Fortunately I had a backup available and I had the most recent entry up on screen so I could restore the backup and copy today's entry in from what I had on screen. Whew! *wipes brow* That was close.

I guess I won't be writing that entry tonight.

[11:03 AM EDT - Light's on, but the brake is not.]

Well, yesterday, my hand brake light continued to turn on every time I hit the brakes moderately hard. This morning, the brake light turned on and stayed on until started accelterated at a moderately good pace. I'm sensing a gradual change here..

[3:59 PM EDT - Gunfest.]

BMH sent me a link to this. Too bad I've set that day up for D&D so I can't go.

[5:57 PM EDT - Politics.]

Argh! This world would be great if there weren't any people on it! This reminds me of a quote from PRQ when he was particularly miffed about a situation on the field:

"Ultimate would be a perfect sport if it didn't have to involve people!"

I may have misquoted as it was many moons ago.

Anyway, I'm being distracted too much of late. I should get back to focusing on work. (I still have to finish that entry too. Oh, and I need to pick up a car. I was talking with HT and he's convincing me not to get the Spec V and look closer at the RSX.)

[8:51 PM EDT - RC5 Badminton.]

When I arrived at the Community Centre, I saw a car near mine that looked oddly familiar. The rear of the car was facing me, and it looked exactly like my car! (Paint and all!) I took a closer look on the right: Corolla. I looked at the left: RC5.

Son of a gun. CL was right! He was telling me that my car was the RC5 and I didn't believe him (since I couldn't find any references on the net - they always call it the GT-S). But here, plain as day, was the proof. Actually, the car looked in much better shape than my sorry piece of junk. It had an antenna, the sunroof wasn't caulked, the shifter had a knob, and there was a lot less rust. The interior was blue, so it was slightly different, but from the outside, it was a spitting image of my car.

Craziness.

Speaking of cars, the main reason HT and I decided that the Spec V wasn't the car we wanted was that the machine (which has a nice large engine) was basically like a Civic with a(n overly) large engine. Unrefined seems to be the word everyone uses in describing this car. It IS cheap though.

So, HT and I are planning to check out the RSX on Saturday. Anyone want to come?
